I see one difference already.

In the communication room, the grid scrolls to the right before Matic's face comes up. Never did that on the NES.

Really shouldn't matter because FC strider was never released.

True, but there is a confirmed review copy out there somewhere now. Since this is the most that's ever surfaced about the FC release (most I can recall before now was a couple of ads that ran in Japanese mags), I felt it was at the very least noteworthy.
