Parker Bros. was never good at this practice. Even by looking at the box, it was difficult to decipher what console it was for. The boxes looked the same, no matter what system they were for (except for the 5200 - the boxes were a little more on the gold side). The stickers that told you what system you were buying it for was on the outside of the shrinkwrap. So once you take off that cellophane, you're screwed.
And another question - why did Parker Bros. have the rights to Frogger? Sega was developing software for all platforms of the time - How did Parker Brothers get the Frogger liscense? And they were good about labeling their carts!
