Best/Fav Super Mario Game: Vote & Discuss

What is your favorite Super Mario game and why? I enjoy all Mario platformers but my all-time fav is Super Mario Bros. 3. I'd recieved the game for my birthday in 1990. One of the best presents I've ever recieved in my life. Yes, the levels in SMB3 are shorter than that of any other Mario game, but the level designs is genius. The airship levels were some of the greatest tests in gaming I'd ever faced at the age of 10. And the power-ups were the best of any Mario game. Hammer Bros. Suit, Tanooki Suit, Frog Suit, Kuribo's Shoe. It's a crime that these abilities have not appeared in any other Mario game.

It's a tie betwen SMW and Mario64, simply because they're two entirely different game styles and can't be compared.

SMW is the finest 2D platformer I've ever played. I'd have to say it's damn close to perfection. I must have found all 96 exits 15 times, if not more. But it's still fun everytime.

As for Mario 64, I couldn't beleive what I was seeing. Absolutely incredible.
