I dont think it looks that bad. Sure, some wears on the corner and a very small tear at the back, but other than that, its not so bad. This is probly the only sealed S.E that will be sold on Ebay.

Dj_Spryte: You must follow the instructions on the screen to get the pics.

My Collection - Well, kinda. One of these days I will actually get a pic of the whole collection and post it on there. Until then, I only have a few games in there with some additional collection info stuff.

It is somewhat beat up but still....this might be the only chance you have to get a sealed copy for who knows how long. Even if it wasn't sealed, it's complete and would probably still hit around this price.

    "this price?"

2k isn't the question. It's going to go for way more than that beat up or not. Hell I offered the seller 4k on the first day and had a snipe set for a lot more than that. But frankly after seeing these pics I'm not sure if even 4k is worth it. This is real money not play money. Based on those pics its not worth much more than a complete, at least not to me.

Definitely interesting, but not really for me. I hope (if in fact, he wants it), Bronty wins this one. It'd be nice to keep something like this in Canada.

I do want it - of course - but my enthusiasm and the price I'm willing to pay has cooled *a lot*. Otherwise I wouldn't be publicly discussing what I did or didn't offer the seller. Dents and a puncture hole? Fuck that, considering the price its probably going to take.

It's one thing to be willing to overpay on a mint item, it's another thing altogether to overpay for something that is not in the best shape. The entire reason I collect sealed is because I love mint items - so why the hell would I pay out the ass for something the dog chewed on?

Your comment about keeping it in canada is funny, I thought the same thing and mentioned it to the seller. (actually I said 'keep it in vancouver')

yeah but this is probably the only sealed copy in existence. I highly doubt there is another sealed Stadium Events in better condition.

Six more hours, and despite the additional pics, it jumps another $575...

On a side note, I think I'm about to throw up now for some odd reason...

My ass. I've had so many 'one of a kind' sealed nes games where more eventually turned up you wouldn't believe it. I highly doubt there ISN'T another copy in existence. People said the same thing about bubble bobble 2 for example but another copy turned up. And the list goes on. Yeah I know this is stadium events, and I know a sealed copy is damn rare but you would be surprised by what exists.

I was kinda hoping Bronty would be happy with this one so I could grab the next one that pops in in mint shape with less of a fight.

BTW there is a MINT sealed copy (not in collector hands) that does exist.

It should be, the game is fully available to play in the form of the 50 cent cartridge World Class Track Meet.

and if you think I'm the only one on this thread who made an offer, you're really naive. I bet five guys on this thread tried it and I bet the seller got DOZENS of offers in total.

If it was considered a major rule, ebay would do more to prevent it from happening/punish those who do it.

Very similar to why some laws are violated such as going over the speed limit. The ticket price (and the cost of the extra gas consumed) is small costs compared to the cash value of the time saved over the long run.

Oh, I don't believe for a minute that you were the only one to try make a side deal, it's still against the rules. It's sad that so little people play by the rules any more. But then again, around here rules are only needed when they suit someone's purpose.

Oh, eBay will and DOES do something about it. Remember, they loose money for every auction cancelled when a deal is worked on on the side. eBay always takes action when they have something to loose. The problem is that not enough people report these rule violations or if they do can't supply proof.
