I've got some interferance on my NES and SNES consoles, and I want to know if a clean power bar will take care of this. It's basically shimmering roling lines going from the bottom left to the top right corner. NES and SNES are being connected using different cables (obviously. Compsite for NES and Monster S-Video for SNES ), yet no other console or input (Media Center PC running an emulator, for example) displays this interferance. The same Monster S-Video cable looks great on 64 and Cube!
Could it be that newer consoles (and PC) do a better job at filtering out dirty power? Or is my problem in old faulty consoles?
Also: SNES always displays a faint vertical "bar" of different color to the left of center. I think this is something common? Is SNES always going to display that vertical line, or is it fixable?
How can I get these consoles looking their best? (or should I get replacements?....... or deal with it?)
