Default FINALLY, found a rack that can hold all my SNES games

I found this one at work. Its got 6 shelves and stands about 6 ft tall. Its heavy duty and the best part is that it holds my 400 plus collection perfectly. Almost like it was made to hold them. Four rows accross perfectly and x number down pefectly with just enough room to get the special carts worth of dust covers. I also have room to grow but will probubly have to build something to hold all 700 plus in the SNES collection when I get them. The top rack holds all the hardware with the exception of my system. Boxes, manuals and imports are stored elsewhere but I really wanted something to show off my pride and joy.

You should get sleeved cases for them and go this route:

It’s much cleaner and the games won’t get dusty.

150 cases were expensive enough, mostly to ship them. I have them but not 400 of them. I've been trying to figure out a way to store just the carts for quite sometime. Storing carts in cases would take up a lot more room and they would have to be stored vertically like you have them. I have enough media racks in my room as it is. 3 with dvds, 2 with cds, 1 with psx, this one with snes and 1 with vhs'. I can use swiffers for the dust and all the high end and rare stuff has covers. How many carts in cases do you have?

You can get thoses cases off of Ebay and they're made to hold almost any game like SNES, Genesis but not EA titles.

    I got them here:

    http://www.mediashelving.com/Merchan...egory_Code=MED

100 for $42 with sleeve, I believe it was $60 shipped. I currently have 100 NES and 100 of the multicart ones (SNES, N64, Genesis, Genesis EA titles, CD's, 2600, 7800). The NES only units are harder to come buy, I lucked out and bought a new "old stock" box of 100 off of eBay last fall for $50. I've looked into gettin more in bulk but cannot find them. I bought the media rack from Target.

I know it will cost you a bit to buy them for 400 games so I would suggest picking up one shipment at a time for a few months. By summer’s end you’ll have enough. The media rack (if you’re interested) was $40, you’d need 4. Then I had to use a label maker (Brother) to label them all for easy access.

You’re looking at around $400 for the whole deal (not counting labels). I know it’s a bit expensive but in the end you’ll have one impressive display. On top of that you can print box scans and have them printed a place like Kinko’s. Again, this would take time but after all of that it would look amazing.

$400 could go elsewhere like Donkey Kong Comp, StarFox Weekend, or Mountain Bike Rally/Speed Racer. For that matter I could use it to do somethings to restore my Opel.
I'm not particular about the way I display them only that they are safe and out of the way. Like I said swiffer takes care of the dust, they don't see sunlight, and the best of the best have covers to protect the circuits. Your set-up looks very nice though. Did you say that you have any/some SNES multicarts? I'd love to see pics of them.

Another alternative is to ask around at your local Gamestop, when I worked there we had hundreds up them stacked up in the backroom unused. At the time I brought some home for the few SNES games I had, but have quickly outgrown it.

there was a cabinet WalMart, of all places, sold back in December 2005 that fits SNES games perfectly. Sadly, I only bought 1 and can't find them in stock any where any more. My SNES games right now are scattered in a mess, lol.

I work at Kroger and we had a display for a cleaning product called Seventh Generation. The rack was part of the display. It had plastic panels on the side which I took off. They were throwing it away, so I grabbed it. I've gotten about 6 racks from work and this was the first one that fit perfectly with room to spare.

My girlfriend just built me a shelving unit that is perfect for video games. She made it custom to fit NES titles but it fits CIB genesis games very nicely as well, as well as snes. go ahead, say it, my girlfriend is awesome.

I could go either way. I like the nice clean look of having them all in cases, but actually being able to see the carts all in a row is very appealing. I think they look great on the cart the way you have them, 50tbrd.

Not bad, but I recommend laying something on the bottom of the shelves so they're not all exposed.

Don't mean to be disrespecful but that rack is DAMN UGLY .... and that color don't help either !!!

There are many options to display your collection, that rack is functional but i hate to see it every day.

Excuse me for my rudeness but i imagined a nice rack, hehehe
