I know there is BoF 1&2, Zelda III, Donkey Kong and Mario World. Is there any more?

Those are just ports, not remakes.
I can't think of any games that have been remade that were on the SNES.

sorry, ports then?

I believe there is a Lost Vikinigs GBA port too.
Contra Advance is a semi port they replaced the over head levels with levels from Contra Hard Corps from the genesis. Well at least the first over head level was replaced that way, haven't really tried to get to the other ones yet.
Final Fantasy V and VI are on the way to GBA. Isn't that 3 and 4 on the SNES, I keep getting those confused.
excellent, thanks guys
You can also add:
Final Fantasy IV
Prehistorik Man
Aladdin
Lost Vikings
Blackthorne
and one of the Mickey mouse games, Magical Adventure I believe.
is aladdin any good? i absolutely loved the genesis game, never played teh snes. how is it? more importantly how well was it ported over?
Well, if it's a port of the SNES version, don't even bother. The SNES Aladdin is inferior to the Genesis Aladdin in every way. Don't let anybody tell you differently.Originally Posted by Poofta!
Final Fantasy V was never released on the SNES, it remained in Japan as, well, Final Fantasy V on the Super Famicom. Final Fantasy VI was released as Final Fantasy III over here on the SNES. Final Fantasy IV was the one released as Final Fantasy II on the SNES.Originally Posted by itobandito

Well I on the other hand believe Aladdin for the SNES to be one of the greatest platformers on the system, and back hands the Genesis version. Sure it's much easier, and a bit shorter, but it's damn fun. Much for platforming, less action.Originally Posted by Poofta!
The GBA version is literally identical, the only reason it really was shunned upon in terms of reviews is because it added nothing to the SNES version. There was some bonus levels, and I believe a multiplayer mode, but nothing worth getting excited over. I highly reccomend picking it up.
Does anyone know if Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is a port or not? I have the box to the GBA version (but no game...) and all the screenshots look familiar, except one has a creature that I can safely say was not in the SNES version, so I wonder if it's not a port?
Anyway -
Super Mario Advance
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World
Super Mario Advance 3: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Disney's Aladdin
Disney's Magical Quest Starring Mickey and Minney
Disney's Magical Quest 2: Starring Mickey and Minney
Disney's Magical Quest 3: Starring Mickey and Donald
Aero the Acrobat
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past w/ Four Swords
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (?)
Tales of Phantasia
Final Fantasy IV
Mostly just play Nintendo 64. If you've got games PM me! Cart only.
There's also Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 here, and Mother 1+2 in Japan.

But a Genesis isn't a Super Nintendo.Originally Posted by ckendal

Also, I never knew about the changes to Contra III....now I'm interested!
Super Ghouls N Ghosts is indeed a port of the SNES game but I belive it had a few extra levels as well.
I liked Prehistorik Man on SNES, I'll have to pick it up. How does it hold of to the SNES version?Originally Posted by Mark III
I listed all the differences in my GameFAQs FAQ for the game. It's missing the iceberg level, and has some new options at the title screen. That's about it.Originally Posted by snes_collecter
Thanks again for the help. I did not realize there were so many!
