Default Where do you get your 360 games from?

Since the 360 is the first system to have nearly every game featured at a $59.99 starting price point, and since I know a lot of people here (myself included), really don't like spending that much on a single game, I was wondering where you get your 360 fix?

Right now I'm staying away from brand new games and are instead getting used titles from places like EB or ebay. Ebay is a bit tougher than getting used than retail (having to bid on multiple auctions just to get one game), but I think right now it's worth it since it's often the cheapest way to go.

New games are too expensive. Ebay or second hand sites are the way to go.

I buy them new from EB most the time, however recently I've bought some of the older titles on message boards for less then $30.

I've got 22 of them, but would like 2 more that somewhat interest me. Not till i find em cheap though.

How about "all of the above?" I get my games whatever method is cheapest, but I'll pay full retail if its a game I know I want on release. Otherwise, I hunt around online until I can get it cheap.

Where is the option for "Online Rental Service"?

I have a new policy where I will only buy a game for $19.99 or less, preferably for less. So basically, I only rent. I have a rental plan that allows me to get 6 Xbox 360 games per month for $22. I can swap them and switch them as many times as I want. Right now I have:

    NCAA College Football
    Prey
    Tomb Raider Legend
    King Kong
    Burnout Revenge
    Oblivion

Pretty soon, I'll be sending back Tomb Raider Legend, and getting Dead Rising. Then I'll send back NCAA to get Madden, and then I'll send back King Kong to get Saint's Row. Buying games for $59.99 just doesn't make any damn sense. Not when I can rent the same game for $3.50 per month. At $3.50 per month, I can rent a game for a long, long time, and not concern myself with it. Even if I rent it for 6 months, who gives a fuck. I'm only paying a small amount to have it for 6 months, and after 6 months I'll be sick of it anyways. Having said that, again, if I find a game for $19.99, like Kameo or Perfect Dark or something, then that is one thing, but buying games for $59.99 plus tax??

    HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost forgot to mention forums. DP is a great place to trade 360 games or buy them on the cheap.

Well I get my 360 games from at least 2 or 3 different sources

    1.ebay

    2. Rogers Video Or Blockbuster Previously Viewed

    3.Forums or other Classified ad's

I am currently at 11 games and plan to buy several more soon if I can find them cheap enough

though I am thinking of just buying Dead Rising at eb for full price.

I bought all of my Xbox 360 games at EBGames. It's not worth it to me to wrangle with winning auctions or waiting for price drops. That being said, there are a few games I'll snag once they're cheaper, simply because they aren't worth $60. Condemned and Kameo instantly spring to mind. Kameo I should go pick up, as a matter of fact...

I'm going to start buying online through Amazon, since I have an Amazon prime membership. Free 2-day shipping, no tax, and about $4 or $5 off of retail. It ends up being about $7-$10 cheaper than EBGames, and I don't even have to leave my chair.

Rogers video for cheap Previewed stuff, Flea market for new stuff. If a game comes out tuesday, I can go there and get it saturday for $45 new sealed ($25 less than retail before taxes). I know how these guys get the games, but if it's less money out of my pocket it doesn't bother me at all.

    @ Anthony and digitalmouse:

Online Rental and Second hand (trading sites and the such) where on my poll as the last option, but I forgot to click add option before I posted so it didn't show, and I can't edit my poll so I'm stuck.

But if that's how you get your games just do sort a "write in" for your post.

I never thought of online rental, but after reading Anthony's post I might try a free trial from gamefly. It would probably save me a bunch of money because I could play new stuff when it came out, and then just buy it if I liked it enough when it's cheaper.

I already have nextflix which is why I think I may have been reluctant to sign up for another monthly charge, but when I think about it netflix has saved me a bunch of money because I rarely buy new dvd's anymore, I just rent them, and then wait till they're in the bargain bin if I liked them enough.

Combination of everything always looking for a nice deal. The only game I ever bought for $59.99 was Need for Speed MW. That was the game I bought on launch day.

Same here, Kejoriv. I, too, just hunt around for the lowest price. Though I also have my favourite on-line shops, which I mostly check every other day.

"Where do the majority of YOUR games come from?" was a similar thread I started roughly this time last year. You may find some of the replies of interest, slip81.

Right now, Nowhere. In 11 day's time that'll change, though!

    I get mine from Amazon.co.uk

Get pretty good prices, and free shipping on all new games.
