Well, I suppose congratulations are in order. You seem happy with your purchase, and I hope you enjoy it. And it's nice to see some clean emulator shots of the menus and such, can't say I'd mind seeing the score screens!

There are still some problems with dumping the game, so that might take some time.

    Default PowerFest '94

I have only gotten the screen shots from the Title Screen and the first screen for Super Mario Lost levels. I was only able to copy the competition part of the rom. The device I used to copy it can't recognize more then just that part of the game. When you hit start at the Super Mario Lost levels screen it just goes back to the title screen since none of the game data has been copied. Therefore I can't get nice screen shots of the rest of the game. I'm still trying to find a way to back up the entire game. I have a Super Wild Card that has an I/O port on the back. I just need to get the proper cable, and see if using that with Ucon on the computer lets me get the entire rom. If anyone has any suggestions for how to copy the whole thing, or want to loan me equipment that may be able to do the trick let me know.

The Super Wild Card I have is an older version. I got it back in 1994. There may be newer versions that can do the trick.

I used to have a Double Pro Fighter 32mb (back in 93-94'), it originally was a 24mb, once i had it upgraded it was able to copy all of the bigger sized games, it might be a point that the "whole game" (powerfest 94) is alot bigger than a usual game.

    Just a thought?

If you want to dump the cart, I can try and find a contact with The Dumper. He has succeeded in dumping every snes game with special chips (he is an electrical engineer), so he might be able to give you a better idea on how to dump the cart. I'm away this weekend, so I will try to dig up his contact next week for you.

    nice!

this the holy grail of snes games :P
this kinda reminds me of the davinci code

this really needs to get preserved in rom format, its one of the few carts out there not dumped
it will happen eventually, im sure of it

its going to be royal pain to figure out
its prolly got the 3 games on it, the front end for the competition with the scores and such, then you got all the different dip switch info to worry about.

Isnt it enought to just dump all the EPROMS 1 by 1? If the original should be damaged then just flash the dumped ROMs to a new EPROM chip (or the old if its still working).

Yeah, and the networking feature that links carts together along with the scorekeeper (or referee, or whatever you wante to call him) dude's station.

Sounds like emulator hell to code.

I seem to remember Prehistorik man was a pal snes title, i'm sure all you guys knew that, it just seems abit weird, if the cart has that name?

And the NSRT thread is pretty interesting read as well..
