What is the difference between the 3 and 5 screws cartridges? I realized that most of the 5 screws I have are original Nintendo release, ex: Hogan's Alley. :/

Nothing different really, except it got 5 screws. The cartridge is also flat on top. Its only a variation. I Scandinavia there was released 7 variations of Super Mario Bros 1 Only the early games had 5 screws. I think the latest 5 screw game that was released is Castlevania.
No change in the rarity or the value then?
Well the extra screws might make it heavier for shipping costs. And since I'm obviously not serious with that comment I don't think the extra screws would make a difference in the value of the game whatsoever.
Though I wasn't aware of the 3 and 5 screw games so now I have to rifle through my games to see what 5 screw..ers I have.

Some 5-screws are more scarce than their 3-screw counterparts, and vice versa. It all has to do with the date they were manufactured. Use Digital Press's online rarity guide to check if you want to get a better idea, or just poke around the forum.
I keep every variant I come across (code/no code, TM/R on oval seal,revision/bugfix stamps (A/no A) on back label)anything that's different) but that will probably change as space permits. I don't actively seek them out but it's neat to see the same game in different forms.
There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace. We've got work to do.
Thanx for the info! I did a quick search but they don't really talk about pricing - just listing; now I know that the 5s are harder to find..Originally Posted by dangevin

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
There is no real price difference, unless a game is complete (5 screw games *typically* came in hangtag boxes).Originally Posted by ×FR3DD×
