Today i picked up 2 G&W's (check the finds thread)
At first i thought, ace 1 for keeps which i need and one for resale...
However on further inspection on the one which was going to be for resale, i noticed this...
a CGL logo...
I did some research and found out that:
I decided to put the two units side by side and try spot any differences etc...Computer Games Limited (CGL). British company that was based in London, England. Their parent company was called Dennis Baylin Trading Ltd., and their main business was importing and badging of games from Tomy, Gakken, etc under the CGL brand name (they also imported the Nintendo Game and Watch series of games). At one point a company called Amstrad took them over and shut the whole thing down, thus they are no more... (Thanks to Mike Turner for the company information.)
(Ignore the dirt/stain thing on the new G&W i havent had time to clean it yet...)
I cant see a single difference apart from obviously the Serial code/product number thingy in the silver sticker and obviously the CGL marking...
So do any G&W experts have anymore info on this CGL?
Is this variation Rarer/Worth more/Less?
Are there any differences i havent noticed?
any help/info will be greatly appreciated
