    Default GB Pirate cart

    Hi Folks,

I have Gameboy pirate cart that says it only works on the Original GB, and it's not kidding! It doesn't work on GBA, GBC, Super GB, etc. It only works onthe original GB....anybody got any suggestions as to a way to amend this? Or even an explanation...

    Thanks so much!

    Yours,
    Rob

Boy, that is weird. I guess the obvious plan of attack would be to try running it with a passthrough device. Try a Gameshark, Mega Memory Card, Action Replay, Codebreaker, or anything else like that which could potentially circumvent any lockout systems. Out of sheer curiosity, what's the cartridge?

Does it work in a Gameboy Pocket?

there a pawn shop by my work owned by some Japanese people. They have a bunch of Pirate GameBoy Games. I bought a Pirate Wario 3 and it would not play on my GBA. So I returned it. It looked real except on the front where it says GAMEBOY it just said GAME

dsullo: As you may or may not have heard, I'm working on the first ever (at least I think so) Game Boy rarity list and I'm also thinking about including a study on pirates. How much are they charging for those carts, and would you be willing to buy them for me if I send you the funds?

    Default Cart

    Hi Guys,

OK, I can't post a pic cuz my scanner is broken and I don't have a digital camera. Sorry :-(

However, the game is a 4 in 1 and It comes in one of those packages you HAVE TO cut the plastic on to open it (you know, sealed around the edges. I managed so make one cut toward the bottom to open it so as to preserve the package.

Anyway, On the front it says Game Boy kompatibel! 4 Spil Spel Spill Pelia 1 Box (4 in one Box, I guess..pick your language). Vol. 004. Not for Super Game Boy. Electronic Land Scandinavia.

There is a Big '"Sachen" on the back. On the front it also says in fine print that it's made by Taiwan Sachen, not endorsed by Nintendo, blah blah.

The 4 games are Puppet Knight (bomberman clone), Suleiman's Treasure, Snake Boy (variation of Snake), and Pile wonder (like Boxxle).

    Thanks, guys!

    Default Lockout protection

I couldn't find anything online concernign the GB's lockout protection, if it has any. Anyone know anything on this? Or maybe other explanations for this?
