Default What do you do with all your controllers/cords?

What does everyone do with all their controllers and cords with all their consoles hooked up? I have a setup with XBOX, PS2, PS1, Saturn, N64, Sega CD (side by side), SNES, NES, Atari 7800, and Atari 2600. Oh yeah, and an Atari 800 and Commodore 64.

Do you disconnect the controllers when not in use and store them somewhere? Do you wrap the cords around the controllers (this seems to tangle them terribly for me)?

As many of you know, it gets messy real quick.

Oh yeah, and a Dreamcast. Too many to remember all at once. Switchbox madness.

I only have 4 consoles on display at any one time (only 4, lol) so I just let them hang free, my Gamecube pad seems to have mercilessly tangled itself (shaved about 3 feet off the length of the cord in one tanglic effort) so I might consider cementing the cable or summat, I dunno.

I usually have one controller on top of the console, and then a bin with second controllers for if friends come over. Then I have bins upon bins of other controllers.(see my title) I really need to sell some of those though, most of them are just taking up space.

I use joysticks exclusively, and it's actually easier to work with than game pads, I think. I keep most of mine on a shelf when they're not in use, and the ones I use frequently I keep in that little shelf next to the game table there.

My other joysticks like the NES Advantage, Turbo Duo etc. I keep sitting on top of the console, with the cable tucked away behind it. I do keep the game pads around, pearched in front of the system for display purposes mostly. And I have a bunch of pads stored away if friends come over and want to use them.

I just let my cords and wires roam free, and oh, about once a month I spend about 15 minutes untangling everything.

All of my consoles are on shelves (and they are not hooked up unless I choose to play a specific one - except my NES, which is always ready for action)
All of the controllers and cords for the consoles that I have on my shelves (between 10 - 15) are in two seperate dresser drawers in my room, one being for cords and the other being for controllers.
It gets messy at times, but it does the job.

I leave all my systems hooked up with 1 controller plugged in with the wire wrapped around it (excpet my wireless NES controller). I keep spare controllers ina cabinet near by with wires wrapped in a cricle with a wire tie.

I usually store away controllers if it's a system that I haven't played with in a while, otherwise they just sit near the console, with the wire wrapped around them. I don't have any problems with them getting too tangled when I do that.

I have them unhooked hanging over a corner of a bookshelf

I tend to wrap the controller's cable around itself, not the controller. My arcade sticks are on a shelf below the consoles, and the pads are in a set of those plastic rolling drawers.

One of these days, though, I need to go through the controllers and get rid of the ones I don't use.

I unplug them and keep them in a cabinet at the bottom of my entertainment center. I leave the GC wavebird dongle plugged in all the time though.

    Default just use bins

I have 20 or so systems hooked up, I just use bins for the controllers. I would love to get some cable turtles though.

I leave them plugged into the concsole, the controllers arranged neatly beside it, with the excess cord dangling behind the shelf. It displays nicely like this, and it's ready to play in about 10 seconds. I don't like storing controllers and having to get them out...

I use wireless controllers mainly. Wired ones I store in a hollow ottoman.
