Not terribly interesting or anything, but I thought someone might want to see it. I found it at my local Goodwill, of all places.

I got this bootleg from a bundle on eBay.
The cover is a low quality photocopy. The colours are washed. The cartridge has no licencing on it, and no screws holding it together. The manual is vertical and looks photocopied. The real manual is horizontal.
I never thought I'd come across a bootleg. They aren't worth anything but they're nice novelty items to have in a collection.
Fibblewith: That looks like a photocopy of the genesis manual which is verticle.
I was given a few Mega Drive pirate multicarts recently. Does that one have a boot menu or do you need to power the system off and on in order to change games?
I found a stack of megadrive pirates at a thrift store, including a six-in-one cartridge. Funny thing was that the label was clearly in Chinese or Japanese, but it included the US version of Decap Attack.
the sonic pirate is the same as the normal version, just with the copyright info removed. the 9 in 1 uses the reset button to toggle through the games. the other one is a mahjong game with some PG-13 rated backgrounds; i sent it to snorter at genesis collective who figured out that the writing on the label was "mahjong lover". as far as i know it's an original game; where from i'm not so sure about.
Heres a bundle i found on ebay, will take another picture of some of the mega drive bootlegs i have and post it later
Pretty cool pics everyone, thanks for sharing them.
I've never come across any bootlegs in the wild.

I'vce got a Vectorman bootleg about the same quality as Fibblewith's jungle strike. Didn't realize it was bootleg until last week. never looked closely at it.
In Brazil, my country is very easy to find bootleg carts for Mega Drive.
Several owners of Video Game rental shops are bought bootleg carts from Paraguay for exemple to make his archievment for low prices.
I rental several bootleg carts for Mega Drive, but i havenīt bought one.
I remeber for a modification in this bootleg cart:
In the multicart 2 in 1: Fantasia and Castle of Illusion.
In Fantasia the game is the same than original.
In Castle of Illusion Mickey begins the game with 40 lives.
Normally the artwork is the same of originals, but the bootlegers removed informations about Softhouse, Console and Manufacturer.
I've come across 2 bootlegs. 1 that's a 32 in 1 Gameboy and another that was a loose Virtua Cop game with the DC comic stamp on the front, I guess that ment it was a Dreamcast game.

Bootleg carts are fairly common in Mexico, at least in the south. Just ask Suppafly. :P
Up here in the northwest area, though, they're fairly uncommon. :\
