PS2 Broken Door

If anyone noticed my Weekend finds post......... I got a Ps2 with a broken cd tray door.
Any ideas ?????? Can you get a new cd tray with the door on it ?
Or is a new case the only option? And if so where do I find a good cheap one?

Do you mean the little black bar that has the PS logo on it, that sits on the end of the tray?

If it's just the little bar, it can be glued back on. See my PS2 thread in the restoration forum for disassembly tips.

And the best source for parts are other busted ps2's. Way cheaper and easier than buying the few available parts online.

Be warned, the inside of the PS2 is not for the feint of heart. It makes the nside of a PC look like LEGO's.

I don't have the piece. The people I bought the ps2 from lost it.
But if anybody has a busted ps2 and wants to send me that piece let me know.
Oh yea you'd have to take apart the ps2 and send the whole cd tray ( bottom half) since it's connected to it.
