Default Arcades with Classic Game Machines - Where??

Anyone know of any arcades that have an assortment of old games? I'd like to see and play (again) Asteroids, Galaxian, Centipede, Tempest and similar era machines. Anything in NYC area or Jersey shore that you know of?

For what it's worth, the Ohio amusement park Cedar Point (www.cedarpoint.com) has a HUGE arcade on the Midway filled with new and classic arcade machines, pinball, video games, etc. As recently as 3 years ago, they had a wall of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace machines, Black Knight pinball, Warrior vector game, all the basics (Pac-Man, Asteroids, Space Invaders, and all sequels), Hercules pinball (or was that Goliath with the cue ball for the ball?), and tons, tons more.

Going there next month and I plan to waste 3 or 4 rolls of film just getting pics. Actually, photos of arcades with still-working classics migght make for another good photo album on here. What's everybody think?

    Default free galaxian

I once stopped at an airport for a flight, and as i was walking we stopped at a store, and there was a few arcade machines by it. my sister and aunt went in the store, and i found out that the galaxian machine gave you free games, and it didnt require quarters! It was awesome, considering my aunt and sister spent about 15 minutes in the store. I think it was an ohio airport...
Somebody once told me to get a life.

I told them I sold it for money to buy video games.

Sorry I don't know about anything in NY, but for those in Michigan Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor has a nice collection of classic machines (including Gaplus).

Oh and I've got to second Cedar Point. One time I got rained out so I spent the afternoon in the arcade and it was the best trip I ever had. They had at least three Red Baron's, two Star Castles, and a Major Havoc. The place was filled with tons of rare and classic machines. Why Cedar Point would have the mecca of classic arcade machine is beyond me, but they do.

Well, I has a 60+ unit arcade full of classics in Oregon a year ago, and no one EVER came to it..advertised like mad too. I sold off all the equipment to collectors. *sniff*

I don't know how up to date this site is, but it might help.

On the boardwalk Seaside Hights on the Jersey shore, there was one arcade with a retro room. It was near one end, and you notice the place because of a large carousel.
    Games that I remember there:
    Tapper
    Turbo
    Asteroids
    Star Wars Arcade
    Tempest
    Robotron 2084
    Herculese (Pinball)
    Spy Hunter
    Ultracade sit-down cab
    Ms. Pac-Man
    Galaga
    Space Invaders

That's all the classic era stuff that I remember right now.

Gameworks usually has a section of classic arcade machines for $0.25 / play. Not sure where they're all located, but last time I went to one, I spent about $40 playing Tempest! All so I could get the top score on the machine!

The Boardwalk on Daytona Beach has three or four arcades that are crammed full of classics. In one trip I was able to play Gyruss, Asteroids, Night Driver, Mr. Do! Ghosts 'N Goblins, 1943 and a lot more. They even had the Journey Escape game!

On another note, a small, kind of trashy arcade about ten minutes from my house has both Haunted Castle and Rastan, which really surprised me.
