I picked this one up at Joe's store today and must say it is very playable with minimal Japanese knowledge. Not the greatest of games in any way, but kind of cool nonetheless. It's one of those titles that probably should stay in Japan, but I am happy it is at least playable for the Namco fan.

For those who don't know, Critical Velocity, originally Rune Chaser, is a mission-based racing game that mixes the likes of Chase H.Q., Runabout and even a little NFS Underground minus the now cliche US tuner scene vibe. The hero looks as though he could be in Advent Children and it is just too Japanese to localize, but it is definitely worth a look for fans of Namco racers. Solid, but nothing too exciting.
