Total XBLA Games: 29 (By the end of next week: 32)
I guess I have 11 after adding it all up...
Which 3 are coming out by next week?
I thought about going for a completeist 360 collection when I first got mine a few months ago, but then I realized that the system still has at least another 4 years to go.
And since I'm more of a gamer than a collector, I just can't see myself buying hundreds of games I will never play. Though maybe in 10 or 15 years I might go after a complete collection, as most of the games will be dirt cheap by then, if my 360 is still functioning.

At least those are the last announced dates I saw. TotemBall tomorrow, Lumines the next day, and Robo Blitz a week from today...
Wizoot!
Guess ill have to save for em!
Missed this earlier sorry, this is incorrect. Any copies coming out now have the Game of the Year top banner and "sticker" on the insert itself. I'd definitely consider it a valid variant to keep in mind if you're into that sort of thing. The disk face is different as well.Originally Posted by Crazycarl

It's amazing how much the Live Arcade has made me a devotee of the system.
I liked GUN. XDOriginally Posted by Neo Rasa
But then I found it for $20, would never have paid more.
I have 25 retail, and 25 arcade games. Isn't that convenient.

I liked it too but never got it on 360. I just hate that Activision ported the EXACT game from the original XBox with updates of any kind, graphical or otherwise, and still charged $59.99 for it. "Premium prices for premium games" my ass.Originally Posted by Daria

Yeah GUN is also one of my holes. I bought it for PS2 before the 360 launch. It was a lot of fun, but I sold it soon after beating it. I might get it for $19, but I'll probably wait til it drops a bit further.
Speaking of ports, I didn't realize all 4 games that were due to ship today (include Cabela's Alaskan Adventure, The Godfather, Samurai Warriors II, and Open Season) are also current gen games (I knew Godfather was). I hope these are worthy 360 games...
I can tell you right now that Samurai Warriors II is trash. Godfather doesn't look like it's worthy of the hardware it's on. The back of the box has the same imagery as the previous releases. That is to say, there's a concept render from like two years ago on the back of the box with the in-game shots off to the side and much smaller. This does not bode well. I haven't played a Cabela game since the very first Deer Hunter on the PC so I don't know what's up with that.Originally Posted by DOAsaturn
Yeah, that was my thinking on Godfather. It looks like it could be mindless fun, but the game looks like it belongs on a PS2 right next to Vice City.
As for Samurai Warriors II, I'm getting the sense that that could be the worst game next to Bomberman. I saw some screens of that and it looks BAD. I don't know if the screens I saw were PS2 or 360 but the article was about the 360 game.
I actually think Cabela's might end up being the best of the lot this week...
Add Dig Dug to the XBLA arcade list, I hear it is that XBLA surprise we've been holding out for this week...
I'm anxious to hear some of your reactions to tomorrow's new releases. I probably won't be getting my copies til end of week or next, I ordered them with ground shipping...
haha, well never to late to start, your only 57 down starting today.
well still waiting on Godfather, Samurai II, WSOP, Open Season, and Cabela's to get to my house...anyone pick these up yet?
