Official X360 Collectors Thread (Renamed)

Yeah, collecting arcade titles is another deal...what worries me about that collection is if HD space gets too small. I suppose one could purchase another HD for more space and swap HD's when you want to play other games. I don't know if this is a problem yet for those who have all of them. I have 7-8, I also have the XBLA game for my collection too, so I guess I'm over 10 (haven't popped in that disc yet...)

Some older games you can nab real cheap already. I still need games like NBA 2K6 and FIFA RTWC, I can prob get those for $5 at most on ebay, especailly once the 07's come out.

When they come out with the larger HD they said they will figure out a way to transfer the data.

I only have 6gb left, however i have to delete some videos and demos.

I thought about going for a completeist 360 collection when I first got mine a few months ago, but then I realized that the system still has at least another 4 years to go.

And since I'm more of a gamer than a collector, I just can't see myself buying hundreds of games I will never play. Though maybe in 10 or 15 years I might go after a complete collection, as most of the games will be dirt cheap by then, if my 360 is still functioning.

The big deal to me is just having each game, regardless of variants. But I imagine some people on here are variant hounds too and try to get all those.

but thats only if u don't unwrap it...the image is on the plastic wrap. not on the game, so it should'nt count

Missed this earlier sorry, this is incorrect. Any copies coming out now have the Game of the Year top banner and "sticker" on the insert itself. I'd definitely consider it a valid variant to keep in mind if you're into that sort of thing. The disk face is different as well.

I liked it too but never got it on 360. I just hate that Activision ported the EXACT game from the original XBox with updates of any kind, graphical or otherwise, and still charged $59.99 for it. "Premium prices for premium games" my ass.

$19.99 seems about right.

Yeah GUN is also one of my holes. I bought it for PS2 before the 360 launch. It was a lot of fun, but I sold it soon after beating it. I might get it for $19, but I'll probably wait til it drops a bit further.

Speaking of ports, I didn't realize all 4 games that were due to ship today (include Cabela's Alaskan Adventure, The Godfather, Samurai Warriors II, and Open Season) are also current gen games (I knew Godfather was). I hope these are worthy 360 games...

I can tell you right now that Samurai Warriors II is trash. Godfather doesn't look like it's worthy of the hardware it's on. The back of the box has the same imagery as the previous releases. That is to say, there's a concept render from like two years ago on the back of the box with the in-game shots off to the side and much smaller. This does not bode well. I haven't played a Cabela game since the very first Deer Hunter on the PC so I don't know what's up with that.

Yeah, that was my thinking on Godfather. It looks like it could be mindless fun, but the game looks like it belongs on a PS2 right next to Vice City.

As for Samurai Warriors II, I'm getting the sense that that could be the worst game next to Bomberman. I saw some screens of that and it looks BAD. I don't know if the screens I saw were PS2 or 360 but the article was about the 360 game.

I actually think Cabela's might end up being the best of the lot this week...
