If anything could kill a great video game series I'd say it's MTV.
oh thats bullfucking shit , selling out to mtv
U GAIZ JUST DONT LIKE CHANGE , (builds a artificial foundation here)
Well, if the future GH games are crappy due to MTV's influence/control, then at least we have two (GH 1 and 2) great games, and thanks to its success, Konami is bringing its own (probably based off of Guitar Freaks) guitar game to the states.
As much as I hate MTV, I doubt this is really going to change anything. The only difference you'll probably see in the GH games is a MTV splash screen in the beginning. It's not like you'll see fucking Carson Daily or whoever is hosting TRL now in the game.
Some good could come out of it though. Wouldn't it be easier to get the rights to the music now that MTV is a part of it?

MTV has been with Harmonix and Red Octane on GH since the first. I don't see them messing with harmonix so much as subsequent GH releases will be total crap. Corporate commercial whoring on the other hand, is sure to rise. Mostly because it was such a runaway hit that Mtv is involved in.
