I could see raising the price of the item or having a reserve, but shipping should ALWAYS be fair no matter what. It's kind of assinine when a seller charges $33.00 for shipping and actual costs are only $9.00. They are mainly doing that to cover their selling fee's/final fee's...whatever! Also when you ask them why their shipping rates are high they either give some bullcrap story, don't answer your emails, or some are just very ignorant and block you. I avoid those kind of sellers by all means.

So if you avoid them, as you state, where's the problem?

As a seller, I can't say how tickled pink I am when a buyer like you says they will avoid my auctions altogether. It saves me the trouble of adding them to by blocked bidder list. I'd rather make $.50 less than deal with this nonsense and whining.

So what should people be charging for shipping? $1 for a cart or cd game, $2 for any console and every game or system after the first ships at half the regular price?

Some people won't be happy until sellers start listing $5-10 items at 1 cent and offer free shipping.
