I'm comsidering getting both, one to play (Wii), and one to keep as a collector of Zelda Games (GC). Anyone else?

I will buy the Wii version launch day, and I do have the cube version preordered, so yes. I might even play tthrough both, because of the mirrored thing going on
I was considering getting both, even though I'm not getting a Wii until sometime next year, but unfortunate cash supply problems quickly squashed that dream.
I plan to just get the Wii version, but if I don't like the Wii controls for Zelda, I'll definitely get the GC version. I might get them both to see how one compares to the other, but I'll only do that if I've got some extra cash to throw around.
I have the Wii version on launch day, and the GC Version pre-ordered through Amazon to arrive when ever.
I still collect GC games, so I am forced

Even though i am getting a Wii, i will get the Gamecube version just because that is the system the game was built for.
Mark, with the Wii version, you can only use the remote and nunchuk to play. No GC or Wii Classic pads will work for it.
I didn't realise I had another fellow collector hereOriginally Posted by Dangerboy

I'll be getting the Cube version because I won't likely have a Wii until after Xmas, plus my Cube collection anyhow, AND I prefer my Links to be left-handed
I actually had to 'give up / slow down' for the moment while I try and get bills paid off, since school is coming to an end and I need to get money for living quarters.Originally Posted by Mayhem
I don't think I'm even at a 100 games yet, but then I haven't really been counting. My only concern right now is getting the Nintendo box sets. I have Mario DDR and Donkey Konga, and will be tracking down cheapie box set of Konga 2 and Jungle Beat as the weeks go on.
I don't know what it is about the GC library..it's just so cute to collect for
I have sorta the same idea, I MAY open the gamecube version just to play through it.Originally Posted by Cambot
Curious... I rather came to the same conclusionOriginally Posted by Dangerboy
I've not bothered totally with the boxset thing. I've got them for all the big cardboard outer case games (eg. Mario Party 6/7, Karoake Revolution etc) and the DDR games (Mario and MC Dance Craze) but I only have the games for both Donkey Kongas and Jungle Beat. I have UK and Japanese bongo boxes already you see and shipping from the US for that sort of thing is rather high.
As for Zelda, seems Kris (QoF) wants to buy me the Cube version for Xmas, so I guess I will defer and let her do it :P
Holy crap is there any question? BOTH! :P Not for the motivation to "play".. but I just need to have every Zelda game
I'll buy the Gamecube version, since I won't own a Wii anytime soon. Besides, I am sure the Wii version will still be easy to find when I finally get around to getting the console. I won't be "collecting" the Gamecube version, I'll strictly use it for hours of solid gameplay.
