I happened to flip past CNBC last night just as the stock gurus were handicapping the upcoming next-gen console wars. It was interesting listening to these guys, who obviously know more about the companies than the products themselves, but they had some interesting opinions and picks. They were all very hyped up for the upcoming system releases.

Anyway, at the end of the segment they were promoting their upcoming show called Game On: History of Videogames. It will be on CNBC on Wed 11/15 at 8 pm CST. They described it as a look back at how the gaming industry started as a small hobby and grew into the multi-billion dollar industry that it is today. I expect that it will focus more on the business side of things, given that it's on CNBC, but it should be quite interesting nonetheless.

I've already set my Tivo and figured I'd give a heads up to anyone here that's interested in that aspect of the industry.
