    Default Question about the intellivision

Over the summer I picked up an intellivision and an intellivision 2. I got the original and a box full of complete games for $1. The intellivision 2 was $3 with a ton of games and came in one of those sears tele center plastic storage things meant for a 2600. The reason I got that for so cheap is that the lady said it had been in her father's barn and she wasn't lying. The inside of that storage thing is pretty nasty.

I was wanting to know if there any differences between the two and if the games are compatible? Should I keep both or get rid of one? I'm running out of room to store stuff. Also, do you think it would be okay to soak the plastic storage thing in the bath tub to clean it? It would be a real pain to clean it cuetips and paper towels.

the only thing i would worry about when your gonna clean the plastic storage bin is what ever decals and lables may be on them.

if it has indeed say arround for so long the decals may rub even with regular cleaning and the lables may come off aswell. if you clean it just be careful of this stuff

I believe all the games are compatable with both systems. The Intelli 2 irc has controllers that you can disconnect from the system were on the 1 they are hard wired. I could be wrong though, I haven't touched mine in a while.

The INTV2 is incompatible with a few of the Coleco cartridges. On the flipside, it IS compatible with the atari 2600 adaptor, whereas the first model of the machine isn't(if I recall).

I have an Inty woodgrain model, so I wouldn't know - But doesn't the inty 2 have the built in voice synthesys module?

Not that I know of, but I'm unsure. In any case, I always plug the Voice module into the INTV II whenever I want to use it. And when you have the ECS and the module both plugged in, it's a setup that rivals the familiar 32x/SCD/Genesis combo.

The INTV2 is incompatible with a few of the Coleco cartridges.
It's also incompatible with some 1st-party cartridges, oddly (Shark! Shark! being the most infamous example).

That's what I was thinking too. Here's a picture I found of one of these storage things. The only thing I'd worry about coming off is that silver strip. That's really the only decal or sticker on it.

Now I need to check the rarity list to see if I got anything good. Thanks for the help.

those are cool, dont know if its worth much but if i were you on that strlip i might use a microfiber rag and a little soap and water if its really dirty.

microfiber rags are usually arround the car waxes and detailing stuff in the stores
