I was never a fan of Akira Toriyama's work. It stands out like a sore thumb from a mile away. Perhaps it's just the DBZ stigma.

Somebody once told me to get a life.
I told them I sold it for money to buy video games.
Why: because Tips & Tricks uses these as a sort of "border art". Few people really notice the subtleties of this magazine run by primarily former fanzine editors; the "readers faces" thing has been going on for quite awhile. Look to back issues and see how many other seemingly random faces are someone you know!
How: the editors get these pictures from readers and also from their contributors. I've been asked on several occasions to supply "readers faces". I usually get my submissions in too late but it seems they make it in there... eventually. I've also given free reign of our event pictorials that I've photographed, so if I've photographed you before, beware!
Funny though -- you know how they were printing the vend-o-sticker images for a while? Bieniek kept saying I should go get one (I live real close to a Yaohan (Mitsuwa now)) and send it in. So, I finally do, and I haven't seen it printed. Did I just miss it? Am I too ugly? Was he kidding me? Who knows!
