Default After auction, seller claims to have listed wrong item...

Would it be reasonable to imagine that an experienced seller could list a Donkey Kong Country Competition Cart when attempting to list a regular copy of DKC?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&rd=1#DESCDATA

After I had won the auction the seller took a couple of days to respond to my emails regarding the possibility of insurance and a delivery confirmation number. When I did get a response she claimed that the item was listed incorrectly, that somehow the Competition Cart was selected from some sort of menu and she didn't realize that it wasn't what she had. I've done a lot of selling myself and find this hard to believe. I felt like I bid too much to begin with, but I guess it could be the case that someone offered more money after the auction.

It is possible since it is a preformatted text. I think Flack mentioned he listed a bunch of cds and one of them was listed as a 2 cd set when his version was the one cd version with all the same songs.

With the price it got though, wouldn't she have thought it strange that it was fetching so much money?

I had a lot of apprehension about this item. There was no picture and with something this high dollar, I refuse to take any chances. At an rate, you were mislead on the auction. You are not liable. Your bid seems inline with the value of DKCC. Just wait for another to come up in the next couple of months.

Does the title also come preformatted? I thought you could only use preformatted text for the description... If so, she is trying to deceive you...

That's definitely a pre-formatted title. Most people wouldn't use ellipsis in thier title but that's how it comes up when you use Ebay's pre-formatted listing.

Feedback sucks! No picture... If you have the chance to pass do it. Another one will come along soon enough.
If you are ever in St louis stop by my store Trade-N-Games. I have a huge selection of vintage games along with the new systems. Or shop online now www.tradengames.com

I'd say thats a FRAUD and they must've been shady and i dont trust big auction sellers .. they would do anything to get mega bucks screw them and file complaint with ebay and paypal etc ...make sure u dont pay for it ! and make sure u dont get negative feedback because they listed it as a wrong item ... GOOD LUCK ...
