Went to London to check out some pawn shops, came away with these:
Good finds, I've been wanting to play Klonoa 2 for ages.
hit up a thrift store's 50% winter sale... came away with
shinobi. nes $1.00
metroid " "
TMNT " "
then I went to another thrift store and found
ms. pac-man. nes $3.99 looks prestine!
Today's finds:
Othello (NES) boxed and complete
Mission: Impossible (NES) boxed and complete
And all of this for $14!
NBA Live '97 (PC CD only)
[1994] WaxTrax! Black Box- The First 13 Years (three CDs, but the box was missing)
Duke Nukem 3D (PC, CD, manual, back inlay + jewel case)
Tetris Plus (PS1, greatest hits, MINT!)
Superhero League of Hoboken (DOS, complete!)
Spellcasting Party Pak (DOS, complete!)
Les Manley In Lost In L.A. (DOS, missing manual and copy protection wheel )
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (Windows, looks complete)
The booth where I found those had tons of DOS and Windows games... in retrospect I should've picked up more, but I had a budget to work with. Maybe there'll be more tomorrow.
Yesterday I got Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (GBA).
I see a lot of people posting that they got 3 for $10 deals at GameCrazy. What's the deal? Did they extend it, or is it a permanent sale from here on out? If it's extended, when does/did it end?
I'm not really sure. I did have a wierd experience with that sale though. Lead me to believe that perhaps the individual stores are free to start/end the sale when they feel necessary.
Went in about 2 weeks ago and they had the 3/$10 sale. Went in middle of last week and they told me they weren't having the sale anymore....of course at this time they had more popular titles such as Zelda:OoT, Mario 64, Star Fox 64, etc. Came back the begining of this week and the sign was back up for the 3/$10 sale..and of course all those nice picks were gone.
Today I got Serious Sam: Next Encounter for the GameCube.
Some compilation of addons for Wolfenstein 3D and another game - 50 cents
Elvira album + Konami official DDR pad (not pictured) = $1
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for PC, bought from ckendal!
Bleem! Free with item below.
Finally, I got a CD tower to put my Dreamcast games in! This was $1. Lugging it around town was a pain, though. :P
Haha, man I went to that swap meet for 3(!) years and completely cleaned that place out. I probably picked up about 300 NES, 100 Snes and a ton of other games from there. Sadly there really are very few "first time" sellers there each weekend, and it's generally very dry on the games end. The Chinese lady that wears the bamboo hat has some really good stuff though.
One guy got a magical chase case/manual (No hu card :\) there literally 1 minute before I got to it. One god damn minute. I see him walking past me with it with a grin on his face. He wouldn't sell it .
Anyway for my finds I've just been picking up random Dvds and cheap vhs. I got Jackass 2, Full Metal Jacket, and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest recently.. all 3 for $20.
I grabbed Tetris Attack yesterday for $2 loose cart, nice condition but is a big smudgy on the title, can be cleaned up though.

Finally a co-worker gave me a box of old DOS games. Each one is complete:
We saved some guy's life. Killed some vicious murdering lichs and blew up something big. I'd call that a pretty good night.
Picked up a brand new, sealed, complete with microphone Odama for $9.99 at Goodwill today...it inspired me to create a new avatar.

Tomorrow's Past is Yesterday's Future Today!
My mother found this game today (in the middle of a parking lot at a children's park). It still is factory sealed (although part of the game casing has cracked and come apart at the bottom). It's still sealed however. Great find! Thanks mom!

Today I got what I think are the final GameCube games I ordered in a spurt of online purchasing last week. Today's two arrivals...
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door--Woe is me! It's a Player's Choice edition! I guess I'll survive!
From Russia With Love--This is the game in which Sean Connery voices James Bond. My copy is a bit of an oddity. The place I ordered it from seems to have both U.S. and Canadian addresses which might explain this. I got the regular U.S. version but bound in with it was a French-language instruction booklet. The booklet is much larger than the U.S. booklet and is, in fact, virtually the same size as the case (so it won't fit inside with the English-language booklet). Well, it's in French anyway. I'll put it away somewhere as a curious memento...
at a local pawn shop...
Guitar hero one with guitar
Kingdom hearts II
JAK racing X
Guilty Gear I
Marvel Vs Capcom II
all PS2, all complete and very clean/perfect...
all $8 each...
a good day
Game on!
Got just the disc for IQ for free which is good in a sense, but nearly worthless without the case and manual.
I also got a bunch of random PS1 sports games for free.
Boxed copy of Mario Tennis for the Virtual Boy 3.00 dollars
Psone: all complete and mint
Atari Aniversary Collection Redux: 5.00 dollars
Q*Bert: 5.00
Street Fighter Alpha Ex2(or whatever the long name is): 5.00 dollars
And the best find in my opinion
A gakken hand held LCD game TrojanHorse for 2.50
Actually (regarding the French manual that came with From Russia With Love), I'd forgotten I'd also gotten a French manual last year with Crash Twinsanity...
