Default Whats the best controllers for fighting games?

What are the best controllers for fighting games...any counsel and pc.
That includes third party controllers.I got a snes controller on ebay, it looks just like the original, but when i tried to play Sf2 with it, I couldnt get the fireballs and dragon punches to work. I really learned my lesson...find an official snes controller. But the third party does work well with other games. So if ya on ebay lookin for a replacement controller for your snes and want to play Sf2 with it...spend the money on an official controller

as for best overall controller, saturn hands down. the first psx controllers with out the analog are pretty good as well.

I'm partial to the sticks my friend makes, Massu sticks. Any console you want, he'll make it. Though its pricey as hell, he'll do maintenance on them for free for as long as you own it.

I really like the Saturn pad. I'd love to get a Japanese one some day to check the differences (it's shaped a little differently.)

I have a third party PSX pad I think it's made by Alps. It's a big green Bat-arrang looking thing with no analog or rumble. It has a fantastic d-pad (I HATE the sorry excuse for a d-pad on the Sony PSX pads, gtrr!) and has some nice grippy stuff on the bottom. Plus I got kind of big hands and this pad is way comfortaable.

I also got a Capcom fighing pad for SNES, but I don't have any fighters to test it with. In case you've never seen it, it's kind of got this handle thing under the d-pad where you hold it and then the buttons are all on the side part arranged in proper street fighter order. No shoulder buttons to deal with. Weird looking thing, but I imagine it's be better than the standard pad for fighters.

Dunno if he ships em or not, you'd probably have to ask the fellow.

The buttons looke spaced a bit far apart...maybe I'm just used to looking at my own stick. Which reminds me, I'll make it my personal mission to finish this thing this weekend! "PimpStick Pro 8000...the joystick that you works with every system".

well, i have found the ultimate joystick controller.

    http://www.massystems.com/ProStick.html

its a little steep in price, 95 dollars for one system, but the kick ass part is that you can add plugs for more systems to work with the controller for 35 a piece. so for 200, im gonna have a badass controller for my ps2/psx, dc, saturn, and neo geo.

time to sell some stuff that i dont really need.

My friend has a Mas stick, and here are some impressions of it...

He got a hard stick I believe, and that shit is really tight. It takes some getting used to to use that.

Concave buttons are really not my thing, I like convex myself, easier to pull off moves with...but either way, buttons a button.

The multiple cord is cool. however, his Dreamcast port on his broke, so he has to use a convertor and his ps2 port.

I don't know if they still offer them, but their neo geo sticks are fantastic.
