Default What is your non-valuable prized possession in your collection?

We all have those expensive items that are in our collections, but what are some peices in your collection that aren't that valuable that you hold dear to your heart.

One of mine is my boxed electronic master mind game because it reminds me of being in homeroom in high school and playing this against my friends. Also it rocks being able to play it by yourself. Doubt the thing would net me more than a couple bucks online, but it means more than that to me. I will try to post a picture when I get a chance and maybe post a couple more of mine later (gotta do some work at my job now).

So what are everyone else's prized possessions in their collection that most others would laugh at?

Also, mods feel free to lock if something like this already exists.

What an excellent topic! A tomic so great, that I really had to think about it for a while.

I've decided that the most valuable posession to me is my Sega Genesis (model 1). It is the first game console that I ever had that was "mine." I love it and I still have it and the box that it came in for Christmas 1991.

A very tough decision, but that machine wins hands down.

Gonna have to also say my Model 1 Genesis. Had it since X-mas 1992 along with "Sonic 2".

Same scenario with me except I recieved mine in 92 for Christmas. I remember how amazing I thought the colors and details were on sonic 1. Mine is in pretty beat shape and I tossed the box a LONG time ago. I did manage to find the exact same system w/ the sonic 1 pack-in new in box a couple years ago for $40

The original "Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode" cartridge that I first played back upon release. I've since obtained mint-condition American and Japanese sealed copies, but that very same cart I first bought at Kay-Bee Toys means a lot to me. As soon as I saw him dim the lights and (off-screen) bang that chick I knew it was a keeper.

Tomb Raider (PSX) - My first console-game, still brings back memories everytime I play it.

Final Fantasy VII (PSX) - By far the best game on PSX, and the game that learned me to appreciate RPG's (never used to like RPG's when I was a child, because they were "boring", now I regularly play them)

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (NES) complete with the letter. While I do not have my original copy anymore, I did manage to find it again a couple of years ago. MTPO was the very first game I bought with my own money back in 1987. Ah the memories!

    Great topic!

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain holds that spot for me. The first time I got sucked into a game with a great story, great graphics (I thought so when I played it), great voice acting and fun gameplay.

It was the 4th PS1 game I bought (after resident evil, tomb raider and the crow) and was the first one that I finished.

My original boxed complete version of Zelda: Link's Awakening. I actually remember myself as a kid going to buy that game with my mom or something when the game came out, and its only of the oldest and only games I own of the like.

That would have to be the original NES. I don't have the one I got when it first came out but I do have one that I got online. NES FOREVER!!
I am a collector of the classics (Atari, NES, SNES, Genesis, 3DO, Saturn, etc.)

I have a few things that just won't go unless there's a real good reason.

One of them is a motherboard from my first computer; it still has the memory and processor. I plan on mounting it onto the wall of my computer room when I own a house.

Game-wise I really don't want to get rid of anything but do see that one day I'll downsize after deciding I'll never play most of them again and for collectors & market value sake a bunch of loose cartridges will need to be sold before they go the way of $1 Atari games. I'll keep all my good games that are complete because they look great on a shelf and I have far fewer so it actually frees up space all the loose carts take up.

That covers generic games and their systems, I absolutely don't want to sell off my Sega Saturn games regardless of value. I love the system and what it offers and with the selection of great games over-seas there's always room for expanding what I own for it. It'll take up a lot of space but I'm prepared for that and I see it being the bulk of my game inventory later down the road. (Saturn love)

I'm sure there's other things I don't want to let go of (ie. my DS) but I'll really have to think before deciding on the ultimate.

My copy of Motor City Patrol on NES. It was the first tough-as-shit to find game I ever came across in the wild, when I first started collecting. I still don't come across it in the wild.

That title could jump up to $1000 and I'd still hang onto it. And besides, I actually find the game kinda fun.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

Final Fantasy II on SNES. The first game I ever bought with my own money. I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade when I got it. That, or my toploader nes. Which, I had to mow lawns and do backbreaking labor for my parents and neighbors to save up the 49.99 to buy it. To me, its that little stuff that I almost broke my neck to get that stays with me the most.

My Japanese copy of Jet Set Radio for the Dreamcast.

I got impatient waiting for the US release. So I imported it. Plus I love the CD cases artwork alot better than the American version.

running a close second is my copy of Gumshoe for the NES that I got for Christmas 1986.
