    Default New to personal Arcades

I just noticed someone selling a large amount of PCBs in the buying and selling forum. Having my own arcade machine has always been a dream. What do you have to get once you aquire a PCB board in order to play it?

If a lot of explanation is required for an answer, links are fine. I ask hear before searching an answer on my own because I trust those in the DP forums far more than whatever else I may find.

    Thank You.

You are going to need either a supergun, or a jamma cabinet.
    Both can be pretty pricey.
I hear you man, it ahs always been a dream of mine to own an arcade cabinet too.

Well - you can buy pre-JAMMA standard hardware for fairly cheap. For example, I bought a Nintendo Vs. cabinet - that was a DKjr before that, bought a $30 JAMMA adapter - viola! The grand total was $200. 150 for the game. $30 for the adapter, $20 for a monitor capkit.

I can play any JAMMA pcb now. But it's currently playing Super Mario Bros.

You can always buy a worn but working cabinet and restore it. Which is even more fun.

a good place to look for supplies and possibly building a machine, yourself. They have JAMMA adapters for any older game you can think of. But don't buy an actual game from them. Too expensive.

Thanks for the link. And some ideas.

So a Jamma cabinet is like a universal thing?
