I say bullshit a serious loser sale. Talk about bait and switch not 1 title and that was a pretty big list.

Well to be fair to Best Buy this wasn't an advertised sale, so bait and switch doesn't apply. They sent a list of markdowns to stores and some employee decided to post the info online.

Yeah, this was a clearance / inventory reduction - not a sale. Some gamers made out like bandits while others (myself included) were left empty handed.

I found two of the $9.99 X360 titles which I wasn't looking for (Moto GP and FIFA 06), and nothing else. No sign of any of the $1.99 games for any platform.

So, how are your chances tomorrow? Probably not very good if my local experience is any indication. Most games on the list have been out of stock for weeks and if I have to imagine that with how quickly the word on this sale spread, that a lot of people went out to buy games today in hopes of getting the prices adjusted tomorrow. Now, there are certainly deals left to be had out there, but expect a lot of competition for very few games. I'd expect there to be multiple people waiting in the parking lot when Best Buy opens tomorrow and it only takes one "cart guy" to wipe an entire store clean.

Just thinking out loud here, but it seems like everyone is trying to do the price reduction trick. I have to admit, I'll piss myself laughing if they don't honor that.

I found nothing at a BB in midtown Manhattan. A total waste of time. There wasn't much I wanted anyway.

I don't expect to find much, The only best buys that I know of are near pittsburgh so they'll be sold out.

I found a few things, but only bought around $120 worth of stuff. 4 or 5 titles, and multiples of one of them. There were at least 7 or 8 people that grabbed baskets expecting to clean out shelves.

You know who you have to feel sorry for are the employees, they have NO idea what is going on, and you get this group of people who don't even have lists just bringing anything and everything up to the register so they can take their time trying to price check everything. THis Asian lady must have brought up 10 of every popular title thinking she can run away like a bandit.

orrimarko: Why are you returning $1200 of the $1500 worth of stuff you bought? I wish I found enough stuff to spend 1K, I would have bought it all in a heartbeat.

TOo many people trying to do the same thing, it's like PS3 all over again, I have never seen this many people all clamoring for something. Must have been the promise of $1.99 games or something.

A couple of the Best Buys in new jersey have been wiped out or never had much. Out of the whole list, maybe 5 titles were there. This "clearance" is much ado about nothing. Most of the titles have been picked clean from the holidays. If you find anything, then congratulations. You deserve the games at that price. But whats funny is seeing how many people walking around with lists in the game section as the employees look around all confused as to whats going on.

I stopped by a relatively new Best Buy today and all of the discounted games were priced appropriately on the dividers. It looks like someone snagged all of the Zelda titles already but maaaan there was a lot of stuff there still.

I only returned three games because they weren't on the list (right game, wrong system - that kind of thing.)

The $1,273 was the price match refund I got from the $1,500+ I spent between Saturday morning and Sunday evening.

It was very successful for me.

The only thing I really wanted that I didn't find was the Oblivion: CE (XBOX 360).
