Default SimCity DS coming to the US

Good news: GameSpot reports that EA has confirmed a US release for SimCity DS sometime this summer.

I'll be looking forward to this!

HOLY DAMN!!! I never knew about this project until just now... but man, Simcity would be absolutely perfect for the DS! It goes without saying that it'll certainly help pass the time on long drives. But dammit, I haven't played an SC game since the first one, and I wonder if I've missed much since then.

I wonder if it's a derivative at all of the 64DD version?

Regardless, I've played enough SimCity during my life. (Heck, I picked up SimCity 3 and SimCity 4 on the cheap and never got around to trying them.)

It's funny, I was just thinking to myself when they would release SimCity on the DS. Hopefully they'll include the crazy green haired guy, I just loved it when he'd freak out over a Bowser attack.

I wonder if they'll somehow add a WiFi feature, like sharing maps, custom buildings, or even a competition mode of some kind. It would be funny if they had a "Defend Your City" mode, where one player attacks a city and the other hopelessly tries to protect it.

    One can only dream.

Ooh, that is good news indeed. Another import for me, as the UK release will probably be somewhere around 2008.

Thats awesome news, looks like I'll have something new to play after I've polished off FF 3 and 6. Time to start saving those pennies.

SimCity DS is unfortunately the EA version...not a Nintendo version.
