    Default Saturn Black Screen Problem

I acquired a Model 1 Saturn today. but it has a problem. Have powered it up, power led comes on but just a black screen both via scart or RF. It did come up with the set language screen once but thats it. there are two lots of 5V and one 12V line going to the motherboard.

The 2 coils on the left at the front of the mobo had bad solder joints, Dull and not appearing to be touching the board, have now redone these and still the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas? The tv does respond when I switch the console on by changing it's mode and displaying the black/dark grey screen.

    Any help appreciated.

    Regards

I have now tried the power board in another saturn an that worked. So I can only assume it is something on the motherboard. It looks like the fuses are ok. It also looks like it boots up but does not get to the built in OS. As it's the same color screen displayed just before the os comes up
