So is it a documentary or a comedy? Sounds like a comedy, lolz. Billy M. is so eccentric, he'd make a great villain if caricaturized (is that possible with him?)with the other dude as the protagonist.

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
Greatest quote EVER!
At one point, Wiebe’s young daughter offers a profound statement on what drives her father, saying, "Crack is for people who don’t play video games."
There's a cult movie podcast I subscribe to and I think they've already screened the film at SXSE. The commentator, who wasn't a videogame guy, really dug it, though the film apparently makes Billy Mitchel out to be kind of a jerk. It was described as this guy trying to beat his DK record and getting no help from the Twin Galaxy community. Sounds like Billy comes off a bit like Lucas from the Wizard, if the review is to be believed. Should be interesting.
Yeah, at the Sundance Film Festival this past January they had the world premiere of Chasing Ghosts, a documentary about Twin Galaxies and a lot of the high score record holders, and at Slamdance (a film festival that runs at the same time in the same town) they had The King of Kong. I saw Chasing Ghosts but not The King of Kong; from what I hear, Kong is the much better of the two. I was pretty disappointed with Chasing Ghosts.
Also, during the festival The King of Kong was picked up for U.S. distribution, but last I heard, Chasing Ghosts has not been. This essentially means that some day you will be able to see Kong pretty readily (it should get a theatrical run and then come out on DVD, as usual), but Chasing Ghosts will be next to impossible to see until it is picked up, and if/when it is, it will likely go straight to video.
Feedback thread here
I have seen the movie several times and she did not say that, what she did say was, "work is for people that don't play video games" she was quoting the label on Billy's hot sauce. Let this set the record straight.
