Can some body please make a list of top exclusive game boy games that aren't ports?

Define port? Many GB games hold similarities to NES and classic arcade games. However usually they have many differences both graphically and as a whole.
i.e. Mega Man 1 for NES and Mega Man: Dr. Wiley's revenge for GB

I tried bionic commando on the game boy and it turned out to be the same as the NES version, only it's black and white. I was wondering whether manufactures made games that aren't exact or similar to other systems and are exclusive to game boy.
What you say about Bionic Commando isn't totally correct though.
The GB game has a totally different storyline, level structure, music, graphic design, and so on from the NES/C64/PC iteration. It actually moves and plays slightly faster than the NES game too. The odd thing is that the earliest screenshots of the game before it came out in Japan made it look like an almost direct port of the NES game. I was shocked about this too when the "port" finally got released, as while the first level has a few structural similarities and area four is still a cave, the rest of the game is a totally different beast. It's well worth possessing.
Interestingly the GBC Bionic Commando game is more of a sequel/remake to this US GB version than anything else (even reusing a few of the awesome songs).
Either way, I'd say the GB version is different enough to consider a unique game.
Other GB exclusives I'd get:
Altered Space
Castlevania II: Belmon't Revenge
Fortified Zone
Gargoyle's Quest
Metroid II: Return of Samus
Operation C
Rolan's Curse II
Trax
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3*
*Wario Land II is incredible, but it was also re-released on the Gameboy Color.

I'm a firm believer in Kirby's Pinball Land myself.
Welcome to Macintosh.
Most of the Zelda games are exclusive to the Game Boy, including Link's Awakening and the two Oracle games. Same with the Super Mario Land games. The two Gradius games (Nemesis and Interstellar Assault) on the original Game Boy are also "exclusives" even though they borrow enemies, power-ups and the occasional music track from other home versions.
Well lets see. I personally think that all of the Zelda games are really similar, no matter which system. basic storyline that is. and well pokemon is exclusive isn't it?
Good games that haven't been mentioned:
Aerostar - Vertical shmup
Donkey Kong '94 - the first four levels are identical to the arcade version, but then it branches out into its own game. If you enjoyed Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the GBA, don't miss out on this.
Kirby's Dream Land 1 and 2
Mickey Mouse Magic Wands! - Somewhat similar to Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle, only you can jump.
Revenge Of The Gator - Great pinball title.
Spanky's Quest - A little different from the SNES game. The rooms are different and you can only pop a bubble when it makes contact with your head.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series - All three of these were original titles
Wave Race
Final Fantasy Legend II
Gargoyle's Quest
Donkey Kong '94
Balloon Kid
Kirby's Pinball Land
Maru's Mission
Metroid II
Bad n' Rad

**Monster Max** is an awesome game and was only on the original Game Boy. It was done by the same guys who did Batman and particularly Head Over Heels for many of the 8-bit computer systems. It is in the same style... part platformer, part puzzler. The computer games were wildly popular and huge critical and commercial successes but the similar (but much larger) GB game was pretty much ignored.

There's a GB-only sequel to Kid Icarus (Of Myths and Monsters).
