Not a bad price for those games especially if they're mint.

Gotta watch out on Neo Geo auctions sometimes (especially when the systems themselves are included for some reason) because if you're buying them from overseas, they'll charge you a ridiculous amount for S&H stateside. Maybe I'm just seeing the same import seller(s) over and over again but I can't express my disappointment when I see a deal like this for $200 and then realize it'll cost me another $100 (or more) to have it shipped to me.

I love Neo Geo anything though so if you got it, spend it!

Did you try to find out what they're worth, like using the online rarity guide?

I think it should be fairly obvious that the rarer games will make it worthwhile...games like Magician Lord are essentially padding but I bet that Double Dragon will pay for the lot by itself...if indeed it is mint

    Default hmmm...

As long as everything is in good shape and the shipping, as mentiones, isn't insane I think it's more than a fair price. Though it might benefit you to buy a system separate and maybe find a game online (these systems play backups). Someone people are driven insane by the load times on the system...horrible for fighting games, but no big deal on most of the others...IMO.

    My bad.

Seriously, are you gonna be happy with it? Okay, I obviously know jack all about NG prices, but here is the Enshrined Wisdom:

As a rule: If you're barely scratching out a positive deal (i.e. worth more than you paid), you're not going to be able to sell it for a profit (especially if you have to factor in shipping).

Unless the seller refuses to break up the lot, offer to buy only what you want...if you MUST have these games.

Edit: Oops, speed-read past the "CD." Yeah, that makes a difference!

    My gut reaction? Hell no.

I'm buying it for 200 flat from a kid I know... Plus he has a backup of every other game made for it... I figured it was a decent deal... Just not to keen on my Neo Geo prices...

The rarity guide says it would be. Unless I was using it wrong, I did notice that every Neo Geo cd game is worth at least $10 according to the guide here. So with that said, if those games are mint then the guide would list them with a figure of $130 or up. In that case, you are only paying $70 for the system. This doesn't take into account any of those games which are worth a little bit more than the $10 minimum. If you have the money, it seems like you might want to buy it.

    What model system is it?

There are 3 different model Japan CD systems and 1 USA model.

The least desirable Japan system is the Top Load system.

The drawer system(Japan only) is more valuable than Top Load

CDZ(Japan only) is most desirable system for NGCD.

(my personal preference is the not so common USA system - if it is USA system I am jealous!)

As a Neo CD collector, i'd say that's not really that great of a deal. It's not overpriced, but nothing special. Those games are all among the cheapest available (with the exception of Ninja Combat) -- and KOF 98 and 99 are basically unplayable due to speed on the CD (any version). The others should be just fine in CD format.

Alot depends on what comes with. If it's a CDZ, and it's complete/boxed, then yes it's worth it. Caveat emptor -- CDZs are pretty unreliable! I've had a dead one and know of others who have died, too. If it's a loose top loader and none of the games are complete, then it's not a good deal at all. Front loader is definitely the most robust, IMO.

Be careful that the games aren't backups, too. There's more fake Neo CD games out there than you think, and the sometimes shoddy NGCD inserts that were officially produced are kinda of hard to distingush from the better copies.

I love my NeoCD, very fun system and generally quite inexpensive (especially for Neo). Don't be fooled by the neo-geo.com price guide, I've found game prices to be much much cheaper than even their low ends in most cases.

    Do you want it?

Will you get $200 worth of enjoyment out of it?

It's really as simple as that.
