Default This guy got his Atari 2600 game graded by AFA

It also went for a pretty high price. I am kind of suprised that this happened first with an Atari game. The way NES fans are with sealed games I would of thought an NES game would of been graded and sold this way.

I'm actually thinking about getting some comic books graded down the road. I have some Spider-Man books that went up because of the new movie. The ones involving Venom and the black suit. Looks like it'll cost a lot of money from looking at the CGC page, though

Problem I see is if you just get a nice empty box and shrink wrap it, the AFA graders just look at the box and then seal it for all eternity. Not the best thing since at least Comics they can open it up and see
    Must do the route

No way AFA has experts in how video games are sealed. Expect to see bogus sealed NES & SNES games soon. CGC is legit for comics, AFA is totally half-assed. I've had a bunch of carded GI Joe figures graded and their grading scale is nuts. I've had figures that had light creases and flawless figures both graded 85. They might have only graded that game becuase it was Star Wars related and I think Cloud City is one of AFA's biggest customers. I think this is a really bad idea unless they hire some experts. Even then it will probably be really bad for the hobby.

Well, they'll grade items that were never on display - that were taken out of the shipping box and straight into one of their protective cases- as 100... and that's quite unfair for those of you who DO have mint items.

So yeah, wacky. This is bad...
