Cotton UK for my NGPC and Last Blade best collection are rare from what I hear. I don't own many rare games due to the costs involved but would like to.

Ok here is 1 of 18 (possibly only 17) Pepsi Invaders known to exsist.

One of the better pieces of my collection.

I don't have any really rare games, closest I get is probably the D-Direct Limited Edition of Segagaga for the Dreamcast.

    According to the site:

Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom (NES-R5)
    Dragon Warrior II (NES-R5)
    Top Gear 3000 (SNES-R5)
Ogre Battle 64: Knights of Lordly Caliber (N64-R5)
    Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure (PS1-R5)

    Many, Many R4 RPGs

My prized posession is a copy of Valkyrie Profile for PS1. I don't even want to talk about what I paid for this complete mint gem.

I have a fairly small collection of only about 135 games but I think I have a decent amount of rare games. These games listed are my most rarest ones which are worth mentioning:

    Atari 2600 (PAL)

Mario Bros. [HES, Atari Rerelease] R6
    Obelix [Atari, Silver] R6

    4 in 1 [Bit Corp, Multicart] R7
    Shark Attack [Apollo, Picture] R7

    Nintendo, Super (NTSC-US)

    Burn-In Test Cart R9

    Sega Master System (NTSC-US)

King's Quest - Quest for the Crown (CIB) R6

    Sega Master System (PAL)

Teddy Boy [Sega Card] (CIB) R6

    According to DP

    PS1 - X-Com: UFO Defense R7
    SNES - Pieces R7

According to me and my extensive knowledge X-Com is not even close to one of my rarest games.

I'm going to say, and this is purely from a supply standpoint that my rarest game is...

P.T.O. for the Genesis which is listed as a lowly R5.

I've got three different diagnostic carts for SNES. When I asked a friend what good they were since you couldn't actually play them, he said you can play Super Nintendo Repairmen, so I guess they do count as games.

I got 3 R7's for NES: Big Nose Freaks Out, Blackjack (boxed), and Maxi 15 (version with Double Strike and Pyramid).

Since N64 games only go up to R5, I got these: NFL Blitz 2001, NFL Blitz Special Edition (sealed), Razor Freestyle Scooter (sealed), and Worms Armageddon.

And this one's not in the rarity guide: Star Fox demo cart for SNES.

My rarest games according to your list are:

Art of Fighting (Mega Drive - R6)
    Pengo (Game Gear - R6)

But I had a much harder time finding games such as Chocobo Racing (PSX), Kurushi (PSX), ...

Probably one of my Working Designs titles, most likely Lunar II for Sega CD but I have several imports that don't have complete entries in the rarity listing too so I don't know.
