Oh man Laser disc...those were the days. With that said I still have both EWOK films on LD I am trying to get rid of...drop me a PM if interested.

The only LD player I've ever found was broken
But I'm really wanting to go to garage sales after seeing all these finds, just haven't had the chance. Hopefully sometime soon I'll get out there.
I bought the LaserDisc I found because I've always thought the format is pretty cool, just something about the huge disc. I'd never come across one before, surprisingly. Oh, and it was 2 bucks so why not. Actually, I assumed it wouldn't work for that price (at a High School fundraiser garage sale) and because it is an auto-flipping one (Pioneer CLD-D502), but it does seem to work just fine. I'll probably watch the SW trilogy (THX release) with it to make sure; I have them and some other movies from my FiL I was supposed to sell for him, but they just aren't worth selling. And for as neat as I think it is, even the collector in me can't justify keeping one of these around.
I found this at a garage sale and started looking in the box for what games were with it until I saw the $2 tag, and just bought it. It also came with Art Alive, but that's in my 'to be filed away' pile already.
The Go Sprout! (of Green Giant fame) LCD was at the same thrift I found Trojan Horse at a while ago, I suspect from the same donor, but who knows. Everything else except the PC games was at the same school sale that the LD player was at. The GB games are MegaMan, TMNT, and Solitaire Deal.
In the mail on Friday:
Akumajo Special: Boku Dracula Kun (Famicom) - loose $12
Parodius Da! (SFC) - CIB $14
and today I found at a out of town gamestore:
Tyrants (Genesis) - CIB $2

Oh yeah, forgot to say the only chance I had to look for finds was stopping by a new game store near my friends house. I didn't expect anything considering the name of the store is "Flava 4 Playaz," and was right. One of the overpriced game dealers at the swap meet decided to open up a store apparently and had the exact same crap.
No Way DIGI!

Not alot of garage sales up here yet, but a few good finds nonetheless:
Xbox with 2 controllers and 12 games $15
PacMan tabletop arcade (works perfectly, even included 4 new C cell batteries!) $5
Bag full of about 30 M.U.S.C.L.E. figures (all 1st series) $0.25
And from a thrift:
Alpha Centauri PC (the first release, with the poster and HUUUGE manual) $2
Alone in the Dark Trilogy PC $2
2600
Canyon Bomber $1
Frogs and Flies $1
Space Jockey $4
Miner 2049'er $0.40
NES
Tetris 2 w/ manual $4
Genesis
Castlevania Bloodlines $4
Alien Storm $2
TG-16
Ballistix $10 (way overpaid)
SNES
Lagoon CIB $3
2 Replacement GBA SP batteries from Radioshack for $1.40 each.
I went to 2 Radio Shacks today and these batteries were at both. I only bought 2. If you have a RS local to you, maybe stop by and look around for these on Clearance. YMMV.

Who knows, maybe people buy the knock off shoes and perfume and other crap he sells at the swap meet. He's a nice guy, and I've gotten a few good deals there (He gave me $25 trade credit for Final Fantasy 8, which I bought for $3 at another booth. I used it to get Legend of Dragoon and Wild Arms. I also found Xenogears for $15 there, and Star Wars Battlefront II for 10 when it was going for 50 on ebay a few months ago.) but for the most part everything is overpriced.

Here are my finds from last week and this weekend.
NES, GEN, all cables and games, $2 for everything. Some of the NES games and the NES itself are Canadian, which was interesting to find in the wild around here.
Mario Quiz Cards $8
Arcana SNES $1
Commodore Calculator 25 cents. It says Commodore so why not
Game Boy Rechargeable Battery $3
Playstation lanyard and cup/can holder? 50 cents
All of the PC games were $1 a piece. Only a couple have manuals but every disc is mint.

Went to a new game shop in town that allows trades on NES carts (long sold my NES) and got about $13 in credit.
So I got Shenmue II for Xbox and Odama for Gamecube and only paid $.50 for them.
I shop in the same area as Clone, and I know some of the places he shops, and I would say you are wrong when you calll BS. I picked up a Debug PS1 the other day, a SNES copier a few weeks ago etc. There are good places to shop in this area (not like there used to be). I only have the chance to go out ever 2-3 weeks, he goes out at least several times a week. I've been to the antique store, and every once in a while they have some good stuff at okay prices. Be careful about calling BS. Take a look at some of my finds also.
later,
