Today's finds:
Ella Fitzgerald: The Complete Ella in Berlin: Mack the Knife - $1
VA - The Blackest Album (An Industrial Tribute To Metallica) - $1
Stanley Clarke - Hideaway ($1)
Skinny Puppy Soundisc (two CDs with officially licensed samples from his songs) - .50
Blade Runner + The X-Files Strategy Guides - $3 for both
This is the second copy of that Blackest Album tribute I've bought and they've BOTH been bad. The first one couldn't be copied at the beginning... and this one can't be copied at the end. I still ripped it, but it took ages for the drive to finish. I'll see if I can get it resurfaced later. I hate Metallica and I don't really like the kind of music this label used to put out very much... but I'll give it a shot for the hell of it.
(Listening: Industrial my ass, this is the same kind of crap that was in the Trancemode Express albums!)
The strategy guides, well... I typically don't buy any strategy guides. But these were special. There was a booth with a ton of strategy guides for different games, including off the top of my head: Master of Magic, Tropico, Star Trek Birth Of The Federation, Age of Empires 1, two different Flight Simulator ones (those things were as thick as friggin' phone books!)... I noticed these two and picked them up. I actually own both games!
I picked up the Blade Runner guide to clear up the whole "This game has twelve endings" thing - which it technically has, the game actually has about six endings, but one has variants depending on how you beat the game... which makes up five of the twelve endings. Tricky bastards.
I picked up the X-Files guide for the cool trivia it has. And the CD, which was still in the back cover, unused.![]()
