Woo hoo!! I finally found a model 3 Genesis. I found one complete with the box, manual, and all hook ups for only 10 bucks. It's about time I found one!!! I don't think that I had too bad of a weekend!!![]()

Excellent! I don't have a Genesis right now, but if I ever got one - I would get the 3. I am a sucker for miniturization....
That's pretty damn cheap. I've had a total of 5 including still having 2 currently and i don't think I paid less than 25-30 for any one of them. Now all you need is to mod it with fabulous S-Video, like this one I've done.
And of course a pretty LED

I wasn't exactly searching for it, it wasn't on my list but the first one I ever saw they wanted 50 bucks for only THE SYSTEM!!! Insane man! This is the second one I ever saw so when the guy at seven mile fair wanted 10 I took that sucker right away. Damn bastard wouldn't sell it for 8 though. But I have all three model Genesis's!!! Woo hoo!! Finally.

Damn!! That is pretty damn sweet!! How much better is the quality with the S-Video? How long did it take for you to make that?Originally Posted by doubledownon11

The video is a ton better. The first one I did, I was absolutely amazed how brilliant the colors in Sonic looked. Some people say that the Genesis 1 with S-Video, outputs the best Genesis picture, but I don't think so. I've sold 2 modded Genesis 3's and I modded one for a customer and they all told me how much better the video quality was and how impressed they were with the picture.Originally Posted by shaggy
Having done a few now, it takes me about 1-2 hours depending on how intetested I am in whatever is on my TV in the workshop. Not to mention that I completely disassemble and refurbish the console, and the cartridge slot.
Nice find! I got two of them, they are great for taking to other peoples houses or vacations because they are so small and portable.
Awesome. The Genny 3 was the first Genesis I ever had. It also seems that the third model is the hardest of the(3) main models, in my area atlease.
thats a pretty good deal for $10 but i think that there easy to find i have 3 and i paid less than $2.00 for each.

Dude I love the dip switch you added to that Genesis 3, it perfectly matches!
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
Hey Guys
Don't forget the Genny 3 has an extra wide slot that takes megadrive carts without a problem.
VJ
p.s. my personal fav video output is RGB from a model 1
Heh, if you can get S-Video or RGB out of the Genesis 3, it might be a palatable system to use.
The sound will still be bad, though.
That's my favorite part of the model 3.Originally Posted by vulcanjedi
For me, I bought mine new when they were on clearance at Wal-Mart. I believe I paid 25 or 30 for it.
$10 is a good deal. Cha-ching. I'd have bought it in a heartbeat if I was there.
Here's a link to where I found the info:Originally Posted by WanganRunner
