Default A CIB Stadium Events on ebay.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...TRK:MEBIDX:IT=

Not mine. I'm predicting 11k, even though its ultra poorly listed. Should be the most interesting NES auction to come up in a LONG time.

I'm guessing $11k will be on the low side. The folks at NA spotted this, and I'm sure it will be on gamesniped by the end of the day, so the poor listing more than likely won't hurt it's final sales price.

I'm going with $14.6k, but with an auction like this, it's anyone's guess.

Can you imagine how much the seller must be freaking out right now? I'm sure they had no idea of the game's worth. I wonder if they're digging up other NES systems, thinking that's what is so valuable. And there's probably been a couple of those "HELLO FRIEND WOULD YOU END THE AUCTION EARLY SO I CAN RIP YOU OFF AT A LOW PRICE?" folks too.

There have been 2 CIB SE sold in the past two months, so I think that will hurt the sale. How many people have $16K+ to drop on a NES game?

With that said, the last two that sold were over $16K from what I've heard, so anything is possible.

I'm sure he knew the value of Stadium Events. He took three separate photos of it for a reason.

I guess that someone tipped him off since he uploaded three more shots of SE and none of the others.

The photos were added after the auction was started. The woman had no clue she hit the jackpot.

God, makes me think... Unaware seller, to have a BIN and be at the right place at the right time... I should stop thinking now, I'm already a mild insomniac. I don't need to live on eBay.

How's that for a stimulus package?

With a seller name like lace_thongs35 what do you think they usually sell on eBay? I guess they had no idea of the value when posting the listing either. Good for them, looks like they hit the jackpot.

And now the stupid question segment of our show: Why is Stadium Events worth so much? Is it a really fun game, were there only 20 of them released? Did they market it badly or was there copyright infringement that made for a short print run? What is the big deal?

I'm sure she got flooded with questions about it causing her to think that something was up with it. All her other auctions are/were for a ton of random stuff. Just conjecture, but she probally bought the NES stuff at a thrift store or garage sale for $5.

Yeah I figured the last one that was purchased was probably in the ballpark of $15-$20k. But of course the guy who bought it has been wanting one for a long time now. I'm pretty interested in this auction as I just don't know how many NES collectors have $16k or so to drop at this time.

I'd be one of those people to ask if she could end it early for a low price.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, that someone contacted and told her about SE because those pictures weren't in the original listing.

The seller has joined Nintendo Age since the listing. Here's a link

    Talk about hitting the lottery.

If I win the lotto tomorrow, I will put $20K on it.

Now the real kicker is that I win the lotto, meaning I am forced to put $20K on it.

What people have $11k+ to spend on this game? That's ridiculous. Good for the seller though, s/he practically has a winning lotto ticket already.

You would think that eventually, everyone with that kind of money to spend on the game that want it(there cant be THAT many of both) would have it and then the remaining copies out there would only go a few hundred.

You're assuming that those people that mark both qualifiers only want one copy...
