Yeesh, 50% of the finds on these threads are from Half Price Books. I'm jealous that there aren't any down here.

I've been to one Half Price Books, but it's up in Ohio. Doesn't do me any good here in Florida.

...did you really pay $8 for Barbie on Xbox? Please tell me it's some kind of little-known rare title.

Because it sells for 3 times what I bought it for, that's why. Don't ask me why, I really don't care. All that matters is it sells for around $30 on ebay.

Wow barbie horse adventures really dropped in price too, it used to be worth about $50-$60 a year or two ago.

I'm glad I found a longbox copy - to me, it stands out a little more than a jewel case (and looks cooler).

That was the range for a sealed/new copy. I don't recall CIB ever going for that much.

    Dock sale.

No pics, guys. Maybe I'll add some later.

Got System Shock & System Shock II, complete in crushed boxes, $0.50 each.

Got a dirty Marantz 2235 stereo receiver for $5. It's a nice one and I hope it works, sorry Carey, I haven't found any high number (i.e. 7### or higher) ones yet. Will clean it up later and try it out.

Also got some C64 floppies for $0.25 each, lots of CBS games and some other stuff.

    Finally, and Kitsune you'll love hearing this, I got 2 copies of Macromedia Studio 8 for $1 a set. I got home and all 4 discs are cracked, not all the way through so I didn't notice it when I bought them. That was like $100+ software on eBay ;_;

....and that's it. Didn't find anything else that was really that interesting. Pics may be called for so I might put 1 or 2 up a little later.

In theory, you can still sell these.

The discs are cracked, but are the keys fine? If they are, then you can sell these with a notice saying "The discs are broken but the keys should work fine". People DO buy these, you know. And since you're selling the entire set and not just the keys, Macromedia / Adobe can't bitch and have your auction taken down. You just have to write down the whole "Discs are broken" thing repeatedly in the auction.

Dunno, I've got 2 plastic dual disc sleeve things, and a series of numbers and letters are written in marker on the side of each sleeve. I'm not sure if those are the keys. The cracks on the discs are maybe less than an inch and they're on the edges of the CD. I might still try to sell both sets, though. It's just a darn shame that such valuable software was damaged like that.

EDIT: I guess I mispoke, by "set" I meant that I got all the CDs for each copy.

I forgot to add that mine is actually a one-off collector's edition, not the first issue. It has a Sonic & Knuckles pull-out poster inside as well.

Hey Gameguy and PutUrQuarterUp, I can provide some clarification on those Sonic comics you have.

This is the first issue of the ongoing Sonic comic series that's still published to this day!

This is the first 48 page special issue Archie put out. There were quite a few more over the years, but they discontinued making them because they weren't selling so well. (I think.)

PutUrQuarterUp, I never got a S&K poster with my copy of this issue because it was a reprint. Could you put up a pic of the poster for me? I'm curious to see what it looks like!

Also, if either of you are interested in reading more of the series, I suggest picking up the Sonic Archives series. They are reprints of classic Sonic comics compiled into several volumes. There's 12 volumes out so far. It's a cheap way to collect the series without having to pay insane prices for the individual issues.

This past weekend's gonna be hard for me to beat!
    (click the pics for bigness)

    NES Ice Hockey
    PC Quake
TG-16 Legendary Axe, $3 for all

    XB Star Wars Battlefront
XB Star Wars Battlefront II, $5 for both

    GEN Virtua Racing, $2
    GEN Game Genie, $1

GC Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, The Official Guide, 50¢

    PSX Resident Evil 2, $1
    DS Action Replay DS, 50¢
DS Pokemon Pearl Version (case and manual, no cart), $1

    N64 Wipeout 64
SFC Dragon Ball Z 2, $3.50 for both

PSX Dance Dance Revolution, Dance Dance Revolution Konamix, Final Fantasy Anthology, Final Fantasy Chronicles, Xenogears, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Final Fantasy VIII, Grandia, Final Fantasy Origins, Diablo, 1998 Collector's CD vol. 1, Collector's CD (everything complete except FF:A - missing manual)
    DC Shenmue (complete)
CD Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Original Soundtrack
    $26 for all

All games found this weekend were complete save for Pokemon Pearl and Final Fantasy Anthology.

Hands-down, the best weekend of the year for me. The Playstation bunch was obviously an awesome score, but a few of those are dupes. My absolute favorite finds were Virtua Racing (yay, the big dopey SVP cartridge!), Legendary Axe, and the Zelda CE guide (now I have guides for both the CE and Ocarina of Time for Gamecube); also that CE guide doesn't look nearly that bad in real life -- the flash on my camera really brings out all the little flaws here and there. Lastly, I am a sucker for Super Famicom games, so the Dragon Ball game is a fun little addition to my collection.
