Default The Humble Bundle Mojam 2

Once again, spend money on pure crap from well known developers simply because they are well known developers.

I'm confused - would you say these were well known developers?

Well known indie developers, anyway. Or whatever.

I'll wait for Humble Bundle 8.

Except this time all the money is going to charities.

And here I thought I was jaded and grumpy about these things...

Didn't all the money go to charity last time as well?

Yeah, one charity is a group of attorneys and the other is a collaboration with UN Habitat and Mojang (developers of Minecraft). I would use the word "charity" lightly.

They better churn out some decent fucking games or they could come away from this with a tarnished rep, at least from me. So far they just been sitting around acting like dumb asses yet earning 150k+ a day, must be nice.

Again, better be good good f'in games, but bet they end up simple flash games. I'm not usually so harsh on this stuff but they getting a little lax for making so much cash.

It's a participation driven charity pledge drive you actually get something out of for your selfish ass instead of just like - helping other people for the sake of it.

Because doing something nice for other people is for suckers.

You mean like...ever other indie bundle? I guess the only real difference between this bundle and previous ones is instead of charity for cheap games, it's charity for crap that was invented at the drop of a hat. I'm all for charity and helping out, but when it's a literal downgrade from quality games to crap invented on the spot for a money grab, I reject their greed and replace it with some of my own.

Giving money to the EFF and Notch's pet project to bring Minecraft to the disenfranchised doesn't strike me as "helping people" (at least not in the way we're intending that to mean here, I'm sure the money would otherwise help them) especially when stacked against Child's Play and the Red Cross.

I heard that part of Mojam 1's money did go to the developers. I think they got paid a relatively small amount of money in comparison to what went to charity.

I guess calling EFF a charity was the wrong thing, but remember that they're the ones that keep fighting against all bullshit digital media and anti-privacy laws that keep popping up, not to mention acting as lawyers in some specific personal lawsuits.
