Default Removing sticker residue from Big Box PS1 games.

I just picked up a complete copy of Darkstalkers from my local game store. Sadly, they put price sticker on it instead of just laying it on top of the case like they usually do for the games in the "rare" case. Well, I got the sticker off, but now there is this residue let on the cover. What is the best way to get rid of it?

This is the version of Big Box I'm talking about:

Get a bottle of "Goo Gone"

You can pick that up at menards or home depot.

If you're really desperate, I hear lighter fluid works.

Won't Goo Gone pull the color off?

I would use Goo Gone, I used that on NES cardboard boxes without damaging them. Don't let it soak, and once the sticky stuff is gone use a wet cloth or wet paper towel(with water) to clean off whatever Goo Gone is left. Rubbing alcohol takes off colours, I wouldn't use that.

I don't know why using light fluid make you desperate, but I use it all the time because it evaporates nice and fast and it has never effected the ink printing with it on there. I've used it for at least 15 years since my Dad showed me how to get rid of sticker residue and I've never had it mess up something in that entire time.

Hand sanitizer will work for small amounts of residue. Otherwise if you pick up goo gone/goof off, make sure its not the industrial strength stuff.

Goo Gone stains paper, and leaves a lingering smell.

Lighter fluid is the way to go.
