Saturday..
I didn’t do anything..
Four of my friends went flea market picking and turned up virtually nothing.
Broken CD player,trashed N64.working PS2,misc xbox,PS1 games..1 NES game..
Our conversation=Where’s it all at?,who’s buying this stuff all up..is the storage war shows killing what’s to be found at the flea market?,has it come to the time where finding Nintendo’s at flea markets a thing of the past?
Sunday I went to a rather far Flea Market in hope to find something..
GPS said a 30 minute trip but due to road construction, detours we had to take the long route that was over an hour..
I saw this cool old building on the way..
At the very small flea market.
I ran into a Sony Walkman in it’s old time baggie and original headphones ..$5.00..I just bought it...some sell for big bux so I didn’t want to pass it up..
Then I ran into a game/system seller that I’ve bought from before..We talked for like an hour about how things have changed, his finds, cost etc.
He had a lot of what “we” called junk..I paid between 50 cent-1-$3.00 per item depending on what it was..
I sell what I can..what’s junk to one person might be used by someone else..
Genesis boxes are all empty.
Dishes are Expensive on ebay but he can’t give them away a the flea market.
All the Games to the right were returns to him,scratched..I have to see if polishing them see worthwhile..
The PS1 games are all polished but untested..
The CANDY has a story behind it..

I found the following at the flea market on Saturday all CIB...
Deep Duck Trouble (Game Gear)
Hardball III (Genesis)
Halley Wars (Game Gear)
Joe Montana Football (Game Gear)
World Class Leaderboard Golf (Game Gear)
The latter three Game Gear games were boxed but the boxes themselves were altered as the vendor cut the hanging tab part of the boxes off. I'm not too overly picky about that, Lord knows I've torn many a Genesis hang tab off in my time.
On Sunday I picked up The Saboteur on PC from my local Best Buy for $5 and Happiness is a Warm Blanket on Blu-Ray for $7. I've been searching for that Blu-Ray for over a year to no avail and I jumped on it when I saw it though I would have liked to have gotten it with the slipcover like the original release had.
"Ai Oboete Imasu Ka?"
How much did the game gear titles run you? Anything besides the majesco rereleases of a few sonics as well as a few disney games (deep duck trouble included) are pretty tough to come by complete.

Gears of War 2(360) limited edition $4.99
The Avengers: Battle For Earth(Kinect) $9.99
Hip-Hop Dance Experience(Kinect) $9.99
Doom dvd $4
The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition(GC) $3
Parasite Eve(PS1) $3
Double Dragon II(MD) $5
Spider-Man(MD) $5
The Avengers and the Hip Hop Dance game were from an earlier find this month but I threw them in the pic because I got new cases for them. I found the limited edition of Gears of War 2 at Gamestop of all places, complete(except for the DLC code for the Golden lancer) for $5. Thats one of the best Gamestop finds I've had in awhile. I picked up the Doom movie because, as we all know, it was super awesome. Actually, it sucked big time but it had two things going for it. A cool first person view sequence and the fact that the dvd has an Xbox demo of Doom 3 on it, making it one of only three(that I know of) dvds that also have Xbox demos on them.
Legend of Zelda and Parasite Eve were both from Goodwill. I had found the manual for Parasite Eve inside of another games case but left it there since the manual wasn't going to do me any good. But then while searching thru the cds I found the game and both disc were in excellent shape. The two Megadrive games were a craigs list find. There was a dude selling around 15 or so Megadrive games for $5 each. I had searched high and low for DDII before since it was an import only game and semi rare. Plus I really like the game. I also snagged Spidey since it was the only other title worth grabbing.
These are all from my WCW/WWE days back when I use to wrestle. Some of you probably know me better by my stage name: The Rock. But now I'm retired. That other guy that recently came back isn't really me. He's just some dude named Dwayne Johnson. Anyway, I found these at a thrift store today for 99 cents each....er, I mean they were in my display case.

I already mentioned the Spanky's Quest deal I got. Lupin III's complete original series actually got sent to me by accident when a friend ordered it, but he decided to let me have it for free since it wouldn't be worth the trouble to change the shipping address.
It's got its factory seal, so...question.
Do Anime DVD Boxsets retain value? I'm sort of unsure if I want to open this sucker up and watch it or leave it sealed and just download all the episodes.

Went to Vegas this last long weekend for a family birthday celebration and did some shopping on the side. Went to my first Savers stores, and found nothing. Went to a place named "Epic Thrift", which was indeed large in size but did not live up to its name in terms of finds. In the end, it was up to Goodwills...
The Criterion DVDs of Yojimbo, Sanjuro and The Hidden Fortress, as well as the PS1 MGS: VR Missions were $1.99 each. The IBM Space Quest was $5.99 at a different Goodwill. SQ is complete, including the hint book, hint book pen and all the paperwork. The best paperwork though, as is often the case with games like these, was created by a previous owner...
Watch a few episodes online first to see if you like it. With Discotek Media releases some can be valuable if they go out of print, especially titles that were never previously released by anyone else. Anything obscure from them will become valuable eventually, most of their titles even still in print seem to hold their value well.
Just look at The Wonderful World of Puss 'N Boots on Amazon. They're currently offering $17.65 trade in value for it. Keep in mind this title is still currently available directly from Discotek Media for $14.95 with shipping included.

I feel dumb now, I opened it and watched a few episodes. I really do enjoy it, though.
There's nothing wrong with that. I'm starting to get several of the Discotek releases as they'll probably be difficult to find at any yard sales or thrift shops years from now, any I get I plan to open and use for myself. I have a feeling open copies will at least retain their value once they go out of print for a few years, not that I would plan on selling them then. Not everything is about maintaining or maximizing future values.
I just tend to watch most shows or movies before opening any packaging in case I don't like them. I did that when I found a box set for Blood+, what I found to be a terrible anime. I kept that sealed new and sold it off. Glad I did with this one.
Yesterday I went to a small mall to look for interesting games and I was lucky enough to get a Duck Tales 2 for Game Boy, CIB and near mint for 250 pesos, less than 20 usd, very happy with this find !
Las calles no son basurero, POR FAVOR TIREN LA BASURA EN SU LUGAR !!!!
Nice going! Now try to find the NES version for that little :P
I got this a couple of days ago but just got around to taking pictures now. I don't usually bother to post my finds but this is pretty neat, though the left pocket is ripped on the inside. The business card was found in the other pocket, can anybody tell me what it says? If anybody knows anything about this jacket please let me know, I couldn't find anything about it online from what I could search.
Traded my copy of SMB3(cart only) with a guy who lives in the area for a complete Alundra 2(PS1).
I don't usually post "non-gaming" finds but I had to post this one:
The Bond 50 Collection. All 22 James Bond movies collected together in one huge set - remastered and in Blu Ray HD. I've been wanting to start picking up the Bond movies, but they hold their value pretty good.
Got this at Half Price Books for $138 out the door, including a 15% off coupon. Retail is $300! Now which to watch first...
