Lightbulb Lightning's story finally hits Final Fantasy XIII-2 [Joystiq]

It seems to come up in every announcement of other FFXIII-2 DLC - and it's about the person on the game's box - so we're glad to finally see "Lightning's Story: Requiem of the Goddess" arrive today in North America.

In this episode, you play out a battle between Lightning and Caius, and get the opportunity to unlock Lightning for use in the main game ... which Square recommends you finish before playing the DLC. It's a bit of a catch-22. Also out today is "Snow's Story: Perpetual Battlefield," a Coliseum battle with Snow that also unlocks him.

These two episodes mark the end of Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC, but Square is ending on a high note by releasing them alongside a set of 16 new costumes for Mog.Lightning's story finally hits Final Fantasy XIII-2 originally appeared on Joystiq on Tue, 15 May 2012 12:00:00 EST. I'll care eventually. Haven't gotten around to finish the first FF13 yet.

Why even try. XIII is trash and XIII-2 is worse. Go with Xenoblade,The Last Story as the best the genre has to offer this gen.
    FF has turned into sludge

Last I played FF13, I was rather enjoying it. It's one of those games that brakes are bad for motivation, as it takes a little bit to get back into. I plan on finishing it sometime and by that time comes around, I'm betting FF13-2 will be all the cheaper.

FF 13 was awesome until you got to the chapter before you are sent to Pulse. Then it becomes a 25 hour long exercise in grinding.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them

It was the other way around for me. Up till Pluse, the game felt like a really damn long tutorial. Then, suddenly, "ok, you know the game now, go play". I was kinda missing the linear for a bit.
