    As a Buy-it-Now, around $100-$110.

How much of a graphical bump does the Component Cable provide? Noticeable over AV?

It sells for $80 now. It'll sell for more in December.

I don't own these cables but have compared Wii component cables with Gamecube composite and S-video cables. In my testing there's a clear improvement over composite cables, but there isn't quite the dramatic bump from s-video to component depending upon the game.

Is there a reason it will go up in December?

At auction it sells for around $80, I see completed Buy-it-Nows sell for $100-$110. I was assuming Enmity was planning on listing one for sale rather than buying one.

The aftermarket cables only plug into the standard AV connector to convert that to component, none of them actually plug into the Digital AV out. The legit cable isn't a straight pass through cable, there's special chips in the cable that convert the digital to analog. It's not just for component, it's for progressive scan. No other cable does this which is why the original cables are so expensive.

You are right I'm considering selling mine. I have absolutely no need for it.

Considering the price these things go for, wouldn't it just be cheaper to pick up a BC Wii and a set of monoprice component cables?

But the Wii can't have component GB Player output!
(okay, I doubt that's the real reason anyone would specifically want a component cable.
Reason enough to want a GameCube itself, though.)

If the GB Player could output defined pixels without the filter/blur, I bet a lot more people would want it for that.
