Default Perfect Dark factory sealed n64

I picked up a factory sealed copy recently and was wondering how much id get for it. It looks like someone sat something on one side and pushed in the back near a flap and makes the flap buldge out. Other than that no tears or anything. Any one interested? How much gold am I sitting on or do I wait 20 years from now?

I am going to be conservative and say, "not much." This is based on your description and the fact that at least in my area, Toys R Us was having trouble giving these away for $5 a year or 2 ago.

Yeah, I bought one for a buddy's birthday a year ago for $6.00 shipped off eBay. I was surprised to find that game factory sealed for that cheap.

It's funny though, they couldn't give away Conker's Bad Fur Day 64 either at $10 and now it regularly goes for $70-$100 sealed.

But there are way more copies of Perfect Dark out there than Conker's, mainly because PD became a million seller. Also because Nintendo didn't market the M rated kiddy looking Conker's very much, for fear of tarnishing their kiddy image(atleast back then).

But Perfect Dark is pretty much going to be a $5 and under factory sealed game for atleast another 10+ years, especially since it's getting rereleased over XBLA in the next year or two.

I'd say this is definatly a sit on it for awhile item. Wait another 10+ years and see what prices you can find. By then the economy should be "fixed" (atleast thats what the big guy says) and you can probably expect to see it jump up a couple bucks. I doubt you'll see more than 20-25 for it though as it is a fairly common game.

It's funny, talking about "sitting on" a game for 10 years like that. If you just put that towards a CD, you'd make way more money ^_-

Seems like common games aren't a very good long-term investment...even if you had a pallet of FF7s, they were what, $30-50, and now are $300, 10 years later? Think about how much you could make through other means during that time.

On the other hand, just thinking about having a pallet of sealed PSX games makes me drool. Just a little.

Thats mainly because you have to worry about it getting rereleased. For generations games seemed fairly safe from rereleases, but then something called XBLA was created. Add to that PSN and Wii Arcade and no game releases are safe anymore. Not all rereleases hinder the original's price in a drastic way(like Dracula X on pc-engine) but sometimes they completely destroy it.
