    Default Visual Boy Advance Troubleshooting

Am I allowed to ask a question regarding a problem I have with VisualBoyAdvance 1.7? If so, here I go.

When I try opening any rom, I get this message that says "Cannot Create DirectSound 00000001". After this the game plays but at double speed, and I can't seem to figure out how to fix this problem. Should I just re-unzip (install) the emulator?

If it never worked for you, then re-instaklling is unlikely to work. It sounds like a DirectX problem. Try using windows update to see if any directX updates are listed.

I just realized that I needed to only restart my PC. For some reason, none of the programs on my PC with sound worked, so I restarted my PC, and boom, back to normal. Thanks though. (I feel stupid.)

Don't, I think we've all been there. And yes, rebooting is always the first thing in troubleshooting!
