i will wait for a price drop before buying this.
Yeah it will be a little better than ps2 version. Being able to play lead bass and rythm is cool...but I heard there is only going to be 5 more tracks available...is this true?
New songs:
* "Hush" - Deep Purple
* "Dead!" - My Chemical Romance
* "Billion Dollar Babies" - Alice Cooper
* "Salvation" - Rancid
* "Possum Kingdom" - Toadies
* "Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" - Rick Derringer
* "Life Wasted" - Pearl Jam
* "The Trooper" - Iron Maiden
* "Drink Up" - Ounce of Self
* "Kicked to the Curb" - Noble Rot
Yup, I'm buying this just for Maiden and Cooper. And GH1 songs with improved HO/POs.
I am definately picking up this game when it comes out...
Glad to see some Maiden in there! It's been hard waiting for the 360 version, but that alone makes it worth the wait!

The main problem I have with this, is that the Guitar controllers are not wireless. I will wait for a 3rd party or Red Octane to get their act together with that before purchasing.
/me goes back to playing the PS2 versions.

Yeah, me too. And I'd bet my Panesians that RedOctane already has wireless the controllers designed and ready to go into production. They're just sitting on it though so they can make more money off the the people who can't wait for it and are buying the wired bundle on release day (like me).
I already have GHII for PS2 as well, but the prospect of downloadable songs sells me on the 360 version. I remember reading that RO says they'll be some available as soon as GHII hits stores. Anyone know anything about that?
Actually, if I'm not mistaken, Microsoft is using a custom wireless protocol and won't let any third parties make wireless controllers for the system. Something about licensing concerns or something like that.
It sucks for sure, but having the new songs and downloadables makes this a must buy for me. Truth be told though, I'll buy pretty much whatever guitars they come out with (I have 9 PS2 guitars right now...). Never have figured out why I do that, but I will!!

I've heard that too but it doesn't make any sense to me why MS would restrict RO from making a wireless guitar controller for the 360. Mainly because it's a specialty controller and only used for one game (so far). Plus, knowing how big a seller GH was on the PS2, it'd seem stupid of them to not allow Red Octane to make a wireless guitar for the 360, considering how much money they could make from it.
Holy shit. NINE guitars?!? That's hardcore. Which ones do you like the best/hate the most?
I decided to pre order this the other day at work. I've been really looking foward to it, although kinda ticked off on the price, considering I already own, AND the fact I gotta pay more for downloadable songs. Oh well! It'll be worth it though, for hopefully not much more, I'll be able to pick up the entire GH1 track list with improved gameplay and have both versions on my 360 =D!
The worst is easy to name, the Shredder. I think it was the first third party out there. I had a real bad time with getting a double strum when I was playing fast. The best is probably the RO wireless, but I also like the TAC Freedom V (the wireless versions). The flipped buttons seem to agree with me for some reason. Maybe it was psychological, but I improved my scores quite a bit just by changing to that guitar. The rest are all pretty much meh. I still need about 4 or 5 more to have all of the released guitars, at least that I've seen.

Anyone that wants GH2 now, just go to Target. Looks like they broke street date (again):
